The rooftop infinity pool is worth booking this alone
The hotel is refreshingly modern, the bathroom is fantastic and the beds are extremely comfortable
The staff are very friendly and hospitiable
The breakfast buffet is sufficient.
And its all about location location location
I highly reccomend this hotel for this matter

excellent position. Service very very kind, they help us in the change, breakfast very good. Room very large and clean. We changed the room because we stayed a day longer and we got a wonderful view. The swimming pool we could not use, but it's also amazing on the room of the building! great for all seasons. There is a gym but we did not use

We stayed for one night as a little trip to watch the football while on holiday in Salou. If one reason you've chosen the hotel is for the pool then you may be disappointed. We went up in the afternoon after a long day walking round Barcelona sight seeing and there was no room to hardly move. It was a very small space and the pool itself was Tony and freezing. The rooms were clean and modern but uncomfortable. We didn't have much sleep on these beds and even thought we booked a double it was twin beds pushed together. The air on was rubbish so we were thankful we stayed in the cooler months but I would hate to have stayed in this room in mid summer! The staff were friendly enough and the location is a 1 minute walk from los Ramblas which is why we chose it. I was happy we only had one night here

Regarding the plunge pool with the amazing city view, we are sorry to know that the pool did not meet your expectations. The measures of our pool are 9m x 2.7m, so it is more a plunge pool than a swimming pool.
We will take all your comments into consideration for further improvements. Actually we did check the air conditioning and it has been fixed, so thank you for advising us.

Having stayed in a few hotels in this area in the past this one easily offers the best value for money, throw in a rooftop pool with exceptional views of barcelona, then you are on to a winner all round. Ignore any comments on its location as you are in the centre of a busy city not a english village green!!! If you are not confident about coming to a cosmopolitan city then barcelona is not for you, your location is a couple of minutes walk from the marina and your opening to all this wonderfull city has to offer, the rooms are very modern and clean, excellent breakfast and free wifi in your room the reception staff are very helpfull with any questions you have for them, just book the hotel and enjoy your stay, I'm sure you will come back.

Ok...so recently we decided to do a cruise with Royal Caribbean in the Mediterranean and we decided to stay 4 days prior ( this is a very very good tip for those coming from North America especially from the west coast as we did) to alleviate some of the jet lag. As Barcelona is 9 hours ahead of Vancouver we wanted to not be tired for the cruise. I picked Andante hotel for a couple of reasons...it was close to where we wanted to pick up the ship but also.....really important within walking distance from many interesting sights and close to their very easy subway stations.
The hotel is a very Swiss style hotel unlike much of the surrounding architecture which is typical Spanish charm. This hotel is very clean and modern with familiar surroundings for those who want an "upscale Ikea" look?! This is not a derogatory comment by any means. The place really is modern and clean and we'll kept. The rooms are somewhat smallish although we did "upgrade" for something like 30 bucks a night for a view and slightly bigger room. Was it much bigger?! Mmmm not so much. We could have been happy with the regular rooms but what the hey....vacation!
There is a convenient option for morning food in the breakfast room on the main floor which has traditional eggs, bacon, toast, fruit etc for those who like that. It's interesting to remember that many places do not open for breakfast in Barcelona so if your are gping off on a sightseeing day....eat first maybe?. Having said that there are several places including one right around the corner to the left of coming out the main door that serve yummy pastries and coffees. Delish! Perhaps give Starbucks a pass in favour of some coffee made by locals.
Check in to the hotel was easy and pleasant with lots of interesting options for tourists suggested. Often they have tickets available there for certain things.
I would definitely stay here again as the ever popular Ramblas walking area is close as is the mall at the foot of the Ramblas and the Mercados ( I think I spelled that right) the wonderful market for fresh everything....best coconut juice I've ever tasted ...ever. prosciutto snacks....off the hook delish. One of my favorite sights was the Palau Guell house.....go.....just go if you like Gaudi's and architecture. Also the cool and funky gothic area is close where there are so many great stores and restaurants. ...go there and stop by one of the places for tapas and a glass of cava!
All within waliking distance from the hotel.
The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooftop pool, while small has great views from every angle for pictures.

Thank you for your question. We kindly inform you that our rooftop (where the pool is) opens from 9:00h to 22:00h all year. In addition, water is not heated.

Our pool is open all year from 9m to 9pm but the water is not heated! We have pool towels by the pool and a bar open from 3pm to 9pm.
