Write a reviewWe stayed at Hotel Andante for three nights. It was in a great spot to explore the city both close to La Ramblas and the Bay Area. Concierge staff were really helpful- booking trips and providing advice on how to get to the many amazing places in Barcelona. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We had breakfast there too which was certainly worth having with lots of choices. A very relaxed and comfortable place to stay.

We stayed as part of a trip round the Spain and Italy, having arrived a day early to take in a few sights of Barcelona. Hotel was modern, very clean and whilst close to the harbour area, quiet. Staff very helpful and spoke English. Had to leave early the following day to catch a tour to Montserrat so no chance to fully explore what the hotel had to offer but it seems a lot. Breakfast was super - just couldn't do it justice unfortunately. Although not having a concierge, the desk staff sorted and booked us a brilliant restaurant for the evening.

Firstly the hotel will arrange a taxi from the airport which costs €25 each way. Not worth messing with the aero bus and metro when this is so cheap. As a party of 12, six adults and six children we booked 3 family rooms. Each family room consisted of two adjoining rooms at the end of the corridor with locking doors and another lockable door to the corridor. This meant at night you could sleep with both bedroom doors open, giving the children a sense of freedom and security. Everywhere in the hotel is accessed using a swipe card. This makes you feel tremendously secure. The black and white rooms may not be to everyone's taste but they are spotless. Decor doesn't concern me in a hotel but having dirty rooms does. This place is immaculately clean. Soap/shampoo compliment the powerful shower in the adults room and also in the bath/shower twin bedded children's room. The adult bed is so large and comfortable that you can get lost in it. Sleep is easy in the air conditioned comfort. Being in the centre, I expected some noise but it was so quiet here. The pool on the roof terrace isn't heated but is very refreshing, well for the children anyway. I dipped my big toe in and that was enough for me! The views over Madrid are spectacular and you can watch the visitors to the Gaude mansion from the comfort of a sun lounger. There is no bar, but a Carre Four diagonally opposite the hotel sell all the alcohol you will need which you can drink at your leisure on the terrace.
Breakfast is worth having, fresh fruit, hot croissants, bacon, cold meats, cereal, rolls; the list is endless. The unanimous favourite of everyone was the garlic beans!
Everywhere is accessible easily from the hotel either on foot, by metro or via the taxi rank to the left of the hotel.
The staff at the hotel are very helpful and knowledgeable. They act as a concierge booking restaurants and shows for you at no additional cost.
When we return to Barcelona we will definitely stay here again!

The staff is extremely competent, efficient, and most helpful. Their concierge services are unparalleled. Everything about the Andante is classy, from the horizon swimming pool on the top floor to the breakfast room and the accommodations. The staff goes above and beyond expectations.
I will definitely stay at the Andante on my next visit to Barcelona. I like that it's close to the Metro's L2 line, which goes directly to La Sagrada Familia, and it's not far from La Rambla.
