𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐍𝐮𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭-𝐮𝐩𝐬 Just before the start of the real Olympics, our team participated in evaluations organized by the Haut-Commissaire à l'énergie atomique in Paris 🇫🇷 to review all twelve 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 2030 𝐧𝐮𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭-𝐮𝐩𝐬. ⏲ The well organized event featured six different disciplines in 3 days, each with dedicated expert juries. 🙏 We would like to thank all the jury members for their insightful questions and interest in our companies, and the organizers for giving our teams a “podium”. 💪 We hope we demonstrated our commitment to realizing molten salt reactors, the preparation and dialogues were very beneficial for our team, and it was great to reconnect with the other "athletes" in this start-up arena. with NAAREA, STELLARIA, newcleo, Jimmy, HEXANA, Otrera Energy, Blue Capsule Technology, Renaissance Fusion, Calogena & GenF #MSR #SMR #deeptech #scaleup #innovation #nuclear #France2030 #hightechindustry #hightech #DutchTech #FrenchTech #netzero

🗺️ 𝐙𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐇𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐂 THORIZON’s Titus Tielens joined a tour of Hinkley Point C, organized by Impuls Zeeland. EDF’s construction site for two 1600 MW nuclear power reactors, located off the coast of Somerset, is truly impressive on every level. Careful planning, an integrated (local) supply chain, local worker training and community involvement are key ingredients of success. Many thanks to Laurens Meijering , peter bijkerk, Jesse Leemeijer and Dick ten Voorde from Impuls Zeeland for organizing the tour. Both experts have a background that is unique in the sector. Antoine was responsible for the safety and nuclear licensing of the ITER fusion reactor in the South of France, but also has experience as an entrepreneur and working at CEA and IRSN 🇫🇷. Marco led licensing and compliance for the Pallas reactor, the isotope reactor currently under construction in the Netherlands and most recently worked for the Ministry of Economic Affairs in the Netherlands on environmental impact analyses for nuclear energy. 🇳🇱 The arrival of Antoine & Marco marks a 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧. The reactor concept moves 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐩𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 in a phased approach.
