Due to a maintenance issue, the Transportation and Mobility’s Parking Services lobby, located at 290 NE 3rd Avenue, will be closed to the public until noon on Thursday, July 11. The issue is currently being addressed and the lobby is expected to reopen by midday tomorrow. There is signage notifying visitors about the temporary closure. Two well-known locals from the #FortLauderdale aquatics scene are in the global spotlight! 💦 Congratulations to Abbas Karimi for earning a spot on the 2024 #TeamUSA Paralympic Swim Team & to Coach Marty Hendrick on his selection as a Team USA Coach for the 2024 Paralympic Games. 🇺🇸 This is not the first time they've joined forces! 🥇 Since 2005, Hendrick has been a full-time coach at the 📍 FTL Aquatic Center, where Karimi trains. In 2020, Hendrick guided Karimi to his first Paralympic Games (as a member of the Refugee Paralympic Team) and has since worked with Karimi to make his second Paralympic appearance, this time as a member of Team USA. 🌊 Congrats to you both!
