#TeamFTL Receives GFOA Distinguished Budget Presentation Award

Team FTL's Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has received the GFOA Distinguished Budget Presentation Award based on a review of the City's annual budget document for the period beginning October 2023. This year is extra special because the City also received two special recognitions: Financial Policies and Strategic Goals & Strategies.

🏆 The Distinguished Budget Presentation Award, which is the top award in government budgeting, reflects the City's commitment to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting and signifies that the City's budget serves as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide, and communications device.

🏆 The Financial Policies designation highlights the City’s financial planning policies, revenue policies, and expenditure policies. 

🏆 The Strategic Goals and Strategies designation highlights the long-term, entity-wide, strategic goals that provide the context for decisions within the annual budget.
