    The President’s Advisory Commission on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Hispanics shall provide advice to the President through the Secretary on matters pertaining to educational equity and economic opportunity for the Hispanic and Latino community, including: (i) what is needed for the development, implementation, and coordination of educational programs and initiatives at the Department and other agencies to improve educational opportunities and outcomes for Hispanics and Latinos; (ii) how to promote career pathways for in-demand jobs for Hispanic and Latino students, including registered apprenticeships, internships, fellowships, mentorships, and work-based learning initiatives; (iii) ways to strengthen the capacity of institutions, such as HSIs, to equitably serve Hispanic and Latino students and increase the participation of Hispanic and Latino students, Hispanic-serving school districts, and the Hispanic community in the programs of the Department and other agencies; (iv) how to increase public awareness of and generate solutions for the educational and training challenges and equity disparities that Hispanic and Latino students face and the causes of these challenges; and (v) approaches to establish local and national partnerships with public, private, philanthropic, and nonprofit stakeholders to advance the mission and objectives of this order, consistent with applicable law.

The Wealth Disparity Task Force will advise the Murphy Administration on strategies aimed at addressing the various causes and effects of wealth disparity in New Jersey. The Task Force, which will consist of working groups on the economy, housing, criminal justice, education, and health, will prioritize efforts towards equity among all members of the New Jersey community…

    I was appointed by the 56th Governor of New Jersey, The Honorable Phil Murphy to the New Jersey Wealth Disparity Task Force. The Wealth Disparity Task Force will advise the Murphy Administration on strategies aimed at addressing the various causes and effects of wealth disparity in New Jersey. The Task Force, which will consist of working groups on the economy, housing, criminal justice, education, and health, will prioritize efforts towards equity among all members of the New Jersey community by studying the causes of the inequality that has prevented the state from reaching its full potential in the past. By working to achieve inclusion of groups and individuals who have previously been marginalized, the Task Force will create comprehensive strategies and solutions to achieve a fairer distribution of wealth in New Jersey.

If the USA is chosen by the Bureau international des expositions (BIE; English: International Bureau of Expositions) in Paris in June 2023, the USA will host the World Expo in Bloomington, MN for the first time since the 1982 New Orleans World Expo.

    I proudly serve on the board of directors for Minnesota USA Expo 2027, the official organization that is making the bid to bring the World Expo (aka World’s Fair) back to the U.S. in 2027. If the USA is chosen by the Bureau international des expositions (BIE; English: International Bureau of Expositions) in Paris in June 2023, the USA will host the World Expo in Bloomington, MN for the first time since the 1982 New Orleans World Expo.

    Unfortunately the 2027 World Expo was awarded to Serbia by the Bureau of International Expos based in Paris, France in June 2023. As such, the Minnesota USA Expo 2027 board of directors completed its mission-specific work and, in accordance with our by-laws, winded down and dissolved the organziation.
