We had seven Black CEOs over a decade ago, but now we're down to just four. Can you believe that? Even with all the talk about diversity and inclusion, less than 10% of the top leaders responsible for profit and loss are Black. The Korn Ferry Institute teamed up with the Executive Leadership Council (ELC) to gain insights and help organizations address this issue. ELC is made up of over 800 current and former Black CEOs, senior executives, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders from Fortune 1000 and Global 500 companies. How can internationally recognized companies in the creative space dismiss, disenfranchise, and fail to elevate Black, Indigenous, Asian, and Latin stories? Despite promoting accolades of diversity, their leadership, employees, and content do not reflect those accolades.
