Latinos make up nearly 20% of the U.S. population, but our representation in the boardrooms of Fortune 500 companies is shockingly low. In 2020, Latinos held only 4.1% of board seats on the Fortune 500, and the numbers are even worse for Latinas, who held just 1% of board seats. It's time for change. We need to bring more diverse voices to the table and ensure that everyone has an equal chance to succeed. The Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) is excited to announce that the 2023 HACR Corporate Inclusion Index™ (CII) Report was released today. The report aggregated data from 92 participating corporations, the majority of which are Fortune 500 companies. The HACR CII report has been the source for comprehensive reporting on Corporate America’s Hispanic inclusion strategies since 2009. The 2023 HACR CII examined Hispanic corporate inclusion practices from 2022.
