Camila Cabello has credited her fans for keeping her calm at Glastonbury after an ill-fated gig left her not wanting to perform anymore.

The American singer, 27, sung her latest single I Luv It and her old hits on Day 4 of Glastonbury Festival 2024.

She put on a raunchy performance on the Other Stage which also saw performances by Tems and The Last Dinner Party.

However, Camila might have never accepted organiser Emily Eavis's invitation to perform due to a negative experience at the Isle Of Wight Festival in 2018.

Camila told The Sun of her Glastonbury set: 'It was a huge crowd. I am always a little nervous before festivals generally because it’s not necessarily people there who are coming to see just you.

'I always expect the worst, but I was so pleasantly surprised. People were being so warm and engaging. It was hot, so I could completely understand it if everyone was cranky and had had their arms crossed.

'I’ve actually played some festivals that were like that. I remember Isle of Wight was difficult. I remember being like: "Festivals are hard. I don’t want to do festivals any more."'

She added that Glastonbury was very intense, smelled like a farm, and had lots of tents.

Camilla shot onto the music scene in 2012 as one-fifth of American girl group Fifth Harmony, formed on The X Factor US.

While still in the group she released songs such as I Know What You Did Last Summer with future ex-boyfriend Shawn Mendes.

She officially left the group in December 2016 and eight months later released smash hit Havana, which is certified diamond.

Camila's eponymous debut album, released in 2018, topped the Billboard 200 and is certified platinum in the UK and US and diamond in Brazil.

She is currently promoting her fourth studio album, C,XOXO, which she released on Sunday.

Camila cut a stylish figure in a black corset when she attended her new album's launch party at The Box in Soho in London on Tuesday night.

Ahead of performing she told the crowd: 'I'll be totally transparent, I'm a little sick in the club but I wanted to come and party and celebrate with you guys.

'I love London, London is so fun and your all iconic. I've got my mum and dad in the club tonight. Genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for being here and supporting me and my album.

'This is my fourth album and thank you for streaming and caring about the music. I am way better at writing down my feelings than saying them on the spot but it really does mean so much to me.'

She finished: 'I’ve actually played some festivals that were like that. I remember Isle of Wight was difficult. I remember being like: "Festivals are hard. I don’t want to do festivals any more"'
