This paper presents the new reading of the Joncosa Iberian inscription after the restoration process. The length of this text is exceptional, there are near 350 signs spread over ten lines, especially because the inscription was made over a gray ceramic vase before the heating. This text does not match any of the known models of Iberian inscriptions. Despite his length, the style of this text is closer to the short texts over ceramic, personal objects and steles, than to the large texts over lead plaques.

The inscription documents the baika element that probably is the basic form, without the characteristic morph r of the Iberian nouns, of the more frequent baikar. The explicit documentation of baika confirms the new reading of the inscription C.2.19 of Ullastret in a glass of attic ceramic of black glaze, where already it had been proposed to identify the form baiketa. These two new occurrences of baikar and variants on small containers for liquids for personal use confirm the relation of the meaning of this noun to the semantic field of these containers or to the cult acts where they were involved.

The likely votive context of the Iberian rock inscriptions of Cerdanya makes these inscriptions the best context for identifying Iberian divinity names. However, according to the current knowledge about the Iberian language, both divinity names and personal names would use the same mechanism of composition of two elements and common composition elements, which would make it difficult to distinguish them. In any case, in votive inscriptions the divinity names and personal names develop well differentiated roles, a circumstance that could be reflected in the morphological marks that accompany them. In this work we evaluate the possibility that morpheme er is a morphological mark characteristic of the Iberian divinity names, since the revisions of readings made in recent years allow us to identify a group of elements that are characterized by combining with the morpheme er: artiunaner, okaler, egibaler, idaŕer and uḿmiser And that at least in the inscription revised in this work, it would contrast with the group of elements that would combine with the morpheme I, which would be exclusive to the personal names: tigirsadin and oŕdinkali.
II-I a.C. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The inscription analysed in this paper contains a brief and fragmented text that most likely can be reconstructed as a new Iberian personal name. Its palaeographic chronology is compatible with the used during the second and first centuries B.C.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ This paper analyses two Iberian unpublished inscriptions from L’Esquerda (Roda de Ter). The first one is performed before the heating on a small portion of the edge of ceramic recipient, where it can be identified the personal name agiradin. Although the inscription only consists of eight signs, perhaps the inscription was originally about 40 signs long if it uses all the edge. The second inscription consists of seven signs and is made after the heating on the external side of an Iberian oxidizing pottery, where highlights the use of an unusual sign, called B'oide because of its similar shape to a Latin B, recently identified as a variant of the r sign. The text does not present well-known elements, although it is feasible to reconstruct the frequent morph ḿi at the end of the text. Finally, in this work is proposed a new reading for the rock inscriptions from Les Graus, in which were identified two possible deities, baŕkar/balkar, also present in Sant Martí de Centelles, Er, La Tor de Querol and El Cogul, and taŕ, which also appears to one of the rock inscriptions of L'Esquirol. Regarding taŕ, there is a possibility that it was a river deity associated with the river Ter, however, the etymological relationship between the Iberian denomination and the current one is not as clear as it seems. The main concern of this note is to correct a wrong attribution for the inscription G.11.1 from the necropolis El Monastil at Elda (Alicante) that until now has been assumed to be a paleohispanistic inscription, even though it has a later chronology.

Inscripcions ibèriques de les comarques de Tarragona2015 •
This book contains a compilation of the epigraphy in the Iberian language and writing found in the province of Tarragona up until December 2010, a total of 58 inscriptions. Part of this assemblage consists of previously published documents that have been revised and restudied in the light of our current knowledge of Iberian epigraphy. The new epigraphs are those that have been discovered in recent years or have been found in museums or other collections during fieldwork. New proposals are offered for the reading and interpretation of some of the previously known texts, as well as all the contextual data it has been possible to compile for each piece. It should be stressed that two of the counties in the province of Tarragona –Baix Ebre and Conca de Barberà– have not provided any Iberian documents. Those that have given us the largest number of inscriptions are Ribera d’Ebre (19) and Tarragonès (17). The most outstanding settlements are Castellet de Banyoles (Tivissa), Sant Miquel de Vinebre and Tarragona. In the case of Montsià county, of particular interest are the inscriptions from La Moleta del Remei (Alcanar) and Amposta. Also noteworthy is Vilar de Valls (Alt Camp), which has given us two singular epigraphs: a text of 29 symbols on a spindle and a piece of Attic ware with a reference to its owner, which may be the oldest piece in the studied area. Taking into account the material and typology of the media, the inscriptions can be categorised as follows: 32 pottery vessels, 11 stone items, 7 lead sheets, 5 silver vessels, 2 loom weights and a spindle. Among the pottery, the most common finds are Campanian B and B-oid. Information about the context of the find is often missing, as many of the pieces were moved from their original sites to be reused, discarded or placed in a collection and therefore we lack precise references. We know the original location of some of the epigraphs: a dwelling site, a hoard or a treasure (Tivissa) and the inscriptions on an interior wall of the Minerva Tower (Tarragona). Other more sporadic locations include circulation levels, caves and production areas. The most common purpose of an inscription, in keeping with the rest of the Iberian corpus, is the identification of the owner or recipient of the object (normally the pottery). A total of 25 pieces have been interpreted in this way. On the other hand, the inscriptions on lead sheets have been classified as administrative or commercial documents. Other functions about which we can be fairly certain are funerary inscriptions, indications of the manufacturer or producer (normally stamps) and dedications. As far as the chronology is concerned, examples of Iberian script begin to appear timidly in the 4th century BC and slowly increase throughout the following century. However, the highest percentage of inscriptions is found between the end of the 3rd and beginning of the 1st centuries BC, in other words during the Romanisation period. Continuing use of Iberian script is attested up to the beginning of the 1st century AD, particularly in Tarraco and Baix Camp county. In Tarraco these late-period documents are contemporary with the city’s first Latin inscriptions, although by the end of Augustus’ mandate, Latin had definitively replaced the indigenous script. http://hdl.handle.net/2072/256618
