Gen-Z Entrepreneurs Are Far From Lazy. I’ve often heard the criticisms: Gen-Z is lazy. Gen-Z is entitled. They ask for too much and don't deliver. But today's entrepreneurship event with The Gen Z Club shattered these misconceptions completely. Meeting some of the brightest young talents in the U.K. was amazing. One participant even flew in from New York just to attend! The event was packed with inspiring talks focused on self-investment, self-belief, and confidence—key ingredients for outperforming the market. The highlight for me was the Amazon FBA panel. It demystified the often complex world of Amazon FBA, candidly discussing both the risks and the rewards. The panellists emphasised that starting with a higher investment can be advantageous, but it's also possible to begin by selling items you already own. One speaker's story was particularly motivating—she turned over six figures in her first year, proving that ignoring the naysayers can pay off big time. Being in a room full of motivated, empowered individuals eager to collaborate and grow was exhilarating. It was eye-opening when the event organiser shared that he had been criticised for being "too entrepreneurial." To me, this is far from a flaw; it’s a strength. In many careers, entrepreneurial skills are celebrated and can make one more adept at solving business challenges. Today's experience reaffirmed my belief in the incredible potential of Gen-Z. We are not just ready to meet expectations—we are set to exceed them. #GenZ #Entrepreneurship #SelfInvestment #AmazonFBA #YoungTalent #Innovation #Inspiration #BusinessGrowth #Leadership #BreakingStereotypes

For those that don’t know, I was diagnosed with dyslexia when I was 19 years old💔. Prior to that, I had never read a book. I never found a book that I found interesting enough to put up with the struggle of reading. When I was 18 years old I attended my first ever networking event. It was here I listened to a keynote from Kubi Springer She gave one of the most incredible keynotes I’ve ever heard in my life and almost 6 years later, I still stand by that. When she was done I immediately ran over to her to share my admiration and to ask for some tips which she keenly provided. The following year, I attended the same event where she delivered another keynote. This one equally as good as the first. She had just published a new book so I ran over to her stand again to share admiration once more, assuming there is no way such a successful and busy lady would remember me. To my surprise she did! She also asked me to buy her new book, After she saw a slight hesitation on my face She gave me a hug and whispered in my ear ‘If money is tight I’ll gift you one’ I guess she knew what it was like to be a 19 year old university student in the UK 🤣 She gifted me her book and as it was a gift I made is a mission to read it , to be respectful of the kind act. I read it. Twice. Which sparked my love for reading. I have now read over 100 books. The power of networking and meeting the right person at the right time is truly life changing. Hence why I’m passionate to share yet another opportunity. Fidelity one of the worlds largest wealth management firms have provided me with 30 spaces to an in person networking event in their London office on the 24th of July. There will be a head of early careers recruitment present as well as senior financial advisors. This is the perfect way to get a foot into the door at one of the worlds largest wealth management firms. Apply at austinokolo.com The deadline is this Friday! (12th) Please note: My community are exceptionally talented and hungry so spaces will go quick, please put in the effort when applying for the role. Afterwards, I want to hear how this event changed your life just how a networking event changed mine almost 6 years ago. The Gen Z Club

Did Jeremy Kyle just call me a ‘cheeky git’ on National TV?🤣 I had a lot of fun having a light hearted debate yesterday on TalkTV discussing some recent topics concerning Gen Z. One thing I’ll never stop doing is standing up for what I believe in. And currently that comes in the form of my generation who are unfairly labelled and insulted. I’m working hard to bring more opportunities to deserving individuals join my community at austinokolo.com for access to exclusive and exciting opportunities (957/1000 filled) The Gen Z Club

£530,000 raised! 15,000 units sold🔥 Kameese D. will be speaking at the entrepreneurship summit on the raising finance panel! Kameese Davis founded Nylahs Naturals a hair care product line that has become a beacon of inclusivity and sustainability. In 2021, Kameese took her products to the Dragons’ Den and was successful in winning £50k investment for a 40% stake from Sara Davies. Even though Kameese ultimately decided to walk away from her partnership with Sara (as she wanted more decision-making power) she has discussed the value of working with Sara’s team and the help she received from the process. Since leaving the Dragons’ Den, the business has done immensely well with a first-year turnover target of £97k eventually making full-year sales of £170k compared to the £14k turnover that was experienced prior to her appearance on Dragons’ Den.   Nylahs Naturals has secured deals with Boots and Superdrug, Nylahs Naturals has now sold over 15,000 units with the Flourish Hair Booster Serum being particularly popular. Since it launched the product has won awards and has also been featured in Stylist magazine. In the future, Kameese hopes to spread Nylahs Naturals internationally and continues to work with outlets that take time to really understand the potential of the textured hair market. There will be another price increase on Monday!🚨 order your tickets now🔥

CDD Analyst at Rabobank | Google Top Black Talent program 2020

With the hype and speculation, surrounding Artificial Intelligence at present, it’s been great to be able to attain the Certificate in Ethical AI from the The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI). This comprehensive program has allowed me to widen my understanding of the key issues related to the implementation of AI within financial services organisations, focusing on the following modules: - AI - An introduction - Ethical AI and Professional Codes of Conduct - Risk Management in AI - Strategic Approaches to AI - Tactical Development of AI (Executive Management) - Further module containing curated AI learning (videos/articles) The practical applications of AI and machine learning in financial services are vast and can be applied to things like: automated credit decisions, fraud/fin-crime detection, regulatory compliance monitoring & reporting, customer chatbots/VA’s, etc. All of which can help increase efficiency and satisfaction. A recent example of this can be seen with Morgan Stanley who this week announced the early July roll out of its ‘Debrief’ Generative AI assistant, built on OpenAI’s GPT-4, that will support it’s financial advisors in note-taking at client meetings (with client consent required). Specifically it will surface action items, summarize key points, draft emails, and save notes into Salesforce, with the hope of saving thousands of hours of analyst labour. Bearing in mind these great applications, there are still serious problems that can arise in the application of this technology in the form of potential data biases, privacy/security issues, and meeting explanatory, transparency and legal requirements. Overall, it’s clear that companies will start/continue to trial and implement transformative AI technology over the next 5-10 years. As a result it’s paramount that there is adequate monitoring, control, regulation and ethical consideration from management and staff to ensure we achieve the best outcomes possible for all. Many thanks to Gemma Hardy Kirsty Crosby (Assoc CIPD) Tracy Vegro OBE The Gen Z Club for providing the opportunity. I would highly recommend to anyone interested!

Does the fact I didn’t go to a top university mean I’m not talented? There is so much talent at universities that are outside of the Russel group university’s. Yet that’s the only place companies look to recruit talent. And then they are surprised when there is no diversity of thought in their organisation. There are very talented people in Russel group universities, But there are also people who go there because of their background , the school they went to , the family or area they grew up in. So there are talented individuals that are not in Russel group universities not because they are less talented. But circumstances just didn’t go in their favour. If you are only going to the top universities to recruit talent you’re doing yourself a massive disservice. Some of the most talented people I’ve met didn’t go to some of the top universities. You are also inadvertently feeding into providing opportunities to only the people who came from better backgrounds and disregarding those that came from less fortunate backgrounds. This is known as the ‘Matthew effect’ Which refers to a pattern in which those who begin with advantage accumulate more advantage over time and those who begin with disadvantage become more disadvantaged over time. The result is ever-widening differences between the advantaged and disadvantaged. Some Recruiters are actually widening the gap between the advantaged and the disadvantaged with out realising. Please be very mindful of this. In 2024 I have a mission! Integrate entrepreneurship into the work place. → Most companies don’t know how to hire A - player talents from Gen Z and how to keep them in their company. Gen Z grew up in a very complex generation so their skill sets from a young age are very unique. Generation Z, born between 1997 and 2012, currently accounts for about 2 billion of the world’s population and is expected to represent 27 percent of the workforce by 2025. Through posts like this and The Gen Z Club I’m going to empower my community to become A players. And then connect them with the best jobs and opportunities through austinokolo.com Join my community at austinokolo.com by filling in Your details and you’ll gain access to exclusive and unique opportunities propelling your career to the next level (940/1000) spaces filled. I’m bridging the gap between entrepreneurship and the corporate world one post at a time.
