BJP slams TMC for flogging case in Kolkata

NEW DELHI: As another video of a girl being flogged in Bengal, this time in a Kolkata locality, went viral, BJP Monday hit out at the Mamata Banerjee govt, accusing Trinamool Congress of inflicting atrocities against women in the state time and again.
"Flogging of Meherun Nesha in Bengal's Chopra was not an isolated instance of Mamata Banerjee's men dispensing instant justice," said BJP's deputy in-charge for Bengal, Amit Malviya.
He shared the viral video in which a group of men is seen assaulting a woman. "TMC men usually target women, who turn down their overtures... Perhaps Mamata Banerjee can explain why her confidant Madan Mitra's men are assaulting the girl," Malviya added. TNN
