NEW DELHI: Dahod Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 26 parliamentary constituencies in Gujarat. Designated for the Scheduled Tribe category, Dahod participated in the third phase of the 2024 elections on May 7. The constituency has over 18.75 lakh registered voters, with a turnout of 11,12,211 voters, or 59.31%, this year.

Aswantsinh Sumanbhai Bhabhor from the Bharatiya Janata Party emerged victorious, securing 688,715 votes, which is 333,677 more than the runner-up.
Dr. Prabhaben Kishorsinh Taviad from the Indian National Congress came in second place with 355,038 votes, trailing the winner by 333,677 votes. Meda Devendrakumar Laxmanbhai, an independent candidate, secured 11,075 votes, falling short of the winner by 677,640 votes. Bhabhor Dhulabhai Ditabhai from the Bahujan Samaj Party received 8,632 votes, which is 680,083 votes less than the winner. Bariya Manilal Hirabhai, another independent candidate, obtained 6,588 votes, trailing the winner by 682,127 votes. Damor Vestabhai Jokhanabhai, an independent candidate, secured 4,400 votes, which is 684,315 votes less than the winner. Damor Manabhai Bhavsingbhai, also an independent candidate, received 3,173 votes, falling short of the winner by 685,542 votes. Jagdishbhai Manilal Meda from the Bharatiya National Janata Dal obtained 3,062 votes, trailing the winner by 685,653 votes. Pasaya Navalsinh Mulabhai from the Saath Sahakar Vikas Party secured 2,673 votes, which is 686,042 votes less than the winner. The NOTAcoption received 34,938 votes, falling short of the winner by 653,777 votes.
Dahod is set for a high-stakes showdown between BJP’s Jasvantsinh Sumanbhai Bhabhor and Congress’s Prabhaben Kishorsinh Taviyad. In the 2019 general elections, Jasvantsinh Sumanbhai Bhabhor of the BJP won with 561,760 votes, while runner-up Babubhai Khimabhai Katara secured 434,164 votes. In the 2014 elections, Jasvantsinh Sumanbhai Bhabhor again emerged victorious with 511,111 votes, defeating Congress candidate Dr. Prabhaben Kishorsinh Taviyad, who received 280,787 votes. The BJP has maintained its stronghold in Dahod in both previous elections, with 1,411,765 voters participating in the 2019 parliamentary elections.
Dahod Lok Sabha constituency comprises seven legislative assembly segments: Santrampur, Fatepura, Jhalod, Limkheda, Dahod, Garbada, and Devgadhbariya. All these assembly seats are currently represented by BJP members. The constituency covers the entire Dahod district and part of Mahisagar district.

The literacy rate in Dahod is 49.2%. The constituency has a significant proportion of Scheduled Tribe voters, approximately 1,195,207 (74.8%). Additionally, there are about 33,555 Scheduled Caste voters (2.1%) and 21,004 Muslim voters (1.3%), according to the voter list analysis.
