MLA urges Railway authorities for drain modernisation

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Visakha West MLA P Ganababu of TDP requested the Waltair Railway divisional manager Saurabh Prasad take up the modernisation works of drain, subway road repair, a walking way, a new foot over bridge and others.
The MLA met with the DRM and requested him to modernise the drain that flows from Bucchiraju Palem to Kancharapalem via NAD Kotta Rao, Karasa, Syam Nagar, as an emergency work with the help of GVMC.He said rains would prove costly to the health of the public with seasonal and viral fevers.
He urged DRM to take up repair works of Rammurthy Pantulupeta subway and a walking track between Chakaligedda Madhum and Venkatapuram (89 th ward). In view of development works of Simhachalam Railway Station and traffic congestion, He requested alternative ways and proposals at Simhachalam Railway station area. He also urged the DRM to take up repair works on the foot-over bridge Railway station to Chandanagar to made available for the public till the new foot over bridge to be constructed.
