Vadodara: A brawl over a pet dog took an ugly turn on Sunday night when the canine bit a seven-year-old girl. The girl’s mother filed a complaint against pet owner Shashikant Moghe at the Makarpura police station.
The incident occurred in Mangala Green Society in Tarsali when Varsha Paade, wife of a merchant navy officer, was out for a walk with her daughter.
Varsha had came face-to-face with Moghe on Sunday night when he was taking his dog out for a walk.
She said Moghe was staring at her and suddenly let his German Shepherd off the leash and signalled it something. The dog rushed towards Varsha’s daughter Janvi and bit her on her leg. As the girl started bleeding. Soon, the neighbours gathered but Moghe left threatening her.
“Moghe’s wife had promised to shift the dog out a month ago but that didn’t happen too,” Varsha said.
Police booked Moghe under the relevant sections of the BNS. TNN
