CBI probing if NEET-UG, Bihar teacher test leaks have Hazaribag link
HAZARIBAG: Expanding its investigation, the CBI is now trying to find out the Hazaribag link to NEET-UG paper leak case and the BPSC-TRE 3.0, the examination for recruiting teachers in Bihar govt schools.
While the question paper for the NEET-UG was allegedly leaked from the Oasis School in Hazaribag by a gang, which likely included the now sacked principal and vice-principal of the school, the question papers for the Bihar job was exam was also reported to have leaked from the Romi area, just 1km from Kallu Chowk, where the Oasis School and house of its former principal, Eshanul Haque, are located.

CBI officials said that they are curious to know if there is any connection between the gang responsible for the NEET-UG paper leak and the BPSC paper leak, and why Hazaribag was chosen as the location for both incidents.
On March 15, the Hazaribag police arrested around 300 people, including 150 from Romi, who were brought from Bihar in five buses and provided with the exam question paper to memorize a day before the test.
The CBI is collecting evidence related to both examinations and scrutinizing the mobile call details of Haque, sacked vice-principal Mohammad Imtiyaz Alam, and journalist Jamaluddin to determine their locations a month before and on the day of the examination.
"They are also questioning their links with various individuals in the city based on their call records and inquiring about the NEET-UG and BPSC TRE 3.0 paper leak cases," a source said.

Sources suggested that the CBI was not satisfied with the answers provided by the suspects in custody and believed they were concealing the truth.
The agency has been tracing every number that appeared in Haque's call records to find evidence of his connection with the notorious Sanjeev Mukhiya and his gang. According to the sources, the probe agency is proceeding cautiously, keeping its visits and movements in Hazaribag under wraps while gathering evidence and identifying the culprits of the NEET-UG case as well as the BPSC incident.
The investigation is likely to expose many individuals, including some prominent figures in Hazaribag and the state.
