Lalu, Tejas question ‘silence’ of PM & CM
Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), led by Lalu Prasad, launched a scathing attack on PM Narendra Modi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Thursday for their “silence” over the frequent collapse of bridges in the state. Over the past fortnight, 10 bridges collapsed across six districts, causing alarm among local villagers accustomed to such failures during the rainy season.
The RJD, however, alleged that 12 bridges collapsed within 15 days, with five caving in on a single day recently.
“Modi and Nitish will likely blame the Mughals, the British, and the opposition for this,” Lalu posted on X. Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, leader of opposition in the Bihar assembly and Lalu’s younger son, also criticized NDA netas for their quiet stance amid ongoing bridge collapses.
Tejashwi, who previously served as Deputy CM in Nitish Kumar's Grand Alliance government, accused the NDA of hypocrisy in promoting morality and governance while deflecting blame onto the opposition.
He accused the NDA netas of ignoring governance failures and perpetuating a culture of silence over their alleged misdeeds. Tejashwi has been actively updating his social media with reports of bridge collapses, highlighting what he sees as rampant corruption in the NDA administration leading to bridges meeting “watery graves”.
