Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy will start his tour of districts from his home district of Mahabubnagar on Tuesday. Revanth will be visiting one district every week to meet key party leaders and the public, including farmers and women, to get first-hand feedback on Congress govt’s performance in the last seven months.
This public outreach comes ahead of Congress’ likely decision to hold panchayat elections in Sept or Oct.
Though the CM will review pending projects and status of welfare schemes in each district, his tour is part of party strategy to boost the morale of cadres, leaders as well as connect with people with an eye on panchayat elections, sources said. The CM will be holding review meetings with officials on the status of work in each district and also give them a road map for their speedy completion.
On Tuesday, he will leave from Begumpet airport and reach Mahbubnagar at 12.45pm and hold a meeting with important leaders from the erstwhile district after participating in a plantation programme.
Later, he will inaugurate a Mahila Shakti canteen and participate in various development work. He will return to the city by 6 pm. The full-schedule of the CM’s district tour will be released soon..
