‘Provide CSR funds for T hospital infra’
Hyderabad: Health minist-er Damodar Rajanarsimha on Monday urged pharma companies to provide their corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds for improvement of medical services and infrastructure at Osmania General Hospital and Gandhi Hospital. He met representatives of 12 pharma companies, including Mylan Laboratory, Gland Pharma Ltd, Natco Pharma, Bharat Biotech International Ltd, Dr Reddy’s Laboratory, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd, Hetero Drugs, Biological E, MSN Laboratory, Divis Laboratory, Virco Drugs and Granules India Ltd, at the secretariat.
The minister asked companies to release CSR funds for usage in priority areas like power, laundry, bio-medical waste, drinking water, education and health of the girl child.

Personnel associated with CSR funds of the 12 pharma firms would visit Osmania and Gandhi Hospitals this week and inspect them. “A technical report will be submitted on the priority issues during the field visit. He directed superintendents of OGH and Gandhi Hospitals to submit the proposals for the creation of infrastructure and resources for improving patient services,” the minister’s office said in an official release.
