Digambar’s priorities are misplaced, says Vijai

Margao: Signalling his intent to expand his regional outfit’s sphere of influence to neighbouring Margao, Goa Forward Party’s (GFP) president Vijai Sardesai, who held a public interaction session at the Margao municipality on Thursday, said that such ‘janata darbars’ by him in Margao will now be a regular feature.
Sardesai targeted Margao MLA Digambar Kamat for what he said was the sorry state of affairs of the civic body, and the deteriorating condition of Margao, as he urged Madgaokars to come together by sinking all political differences.
“Margao is crumbling. Everybody should come together to save a crumbling Margao,” Sardesai told reporters after the session concluded.
Sardesai accused Kamat of having “misplaced priorities” for Margao, as exemplified in the proposed flyover for the ring road in the town. “The flyover won’t solve the traffic issue. The traffic on the flyover will land at a spot that already sees heavy congestion. This will only lead to more accidents. What should have been a priority was a flyover at Comba instead.”
