Hry police excel in NCRB ranking
Chandigarh: Haryana police has once again excelled in the monthly ranking by National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) under the ministry of home affairs. According to the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) ranking for June 2024, Haryana police has secured the top position. Over the past two and a half years, Haryana police has held the first position for 20 months.
A police spokesperson stated that Haryana police achieved the highest score, surpassing Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.
The CCTNS system enables police to manage tasks such as FIR registration, non-cognizable reports, medico-legal cases, missing persons, lost property and foreign registrations, among others.
On this achievement, Director General of Police (DGP) Shatrujit Kapur, and Director of State Crime Records Bureau, ADGP OP Singh, congratulated all officers and CCTNS branch staff. They encouraged everyone to strive for even better performance in the coming months. They emphasized that Haryana police is moving towards becoming more high-tech, with the objective of CCTNS being to develop an integrated system for crime investigation and monitoring criminals.
The spokesperson said Haryana Police achieved the highest percentage score in the CCTNS project performance ranking. “Haryana maintained the first position in February and March this year as well. The performance dashboard ranks states based on various parameters. In the latest ranking, Haryana scored 100 points, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 99.42 points, Delhi with 98.28 points, Punjab with 97.90 points, and Madhya Pradesh with 97.76 points.
