Group clash leads to firing, one injured
Chandigarh: A man received serious injuries in a clash between two groups in Sector 44 in the early hours on Monday. Two bullets were also fired in the air during the fight.
Police said Ankur Panwar (28), a resident of Sector 44D, and Puneet Arora had some heated arguments. Panwar along with his other accomplices, identified as Abhinav Tomar, Sidhant Thakur and Harinder Deswal and Khushwinder Singh decided to attack Puneet around 1.30 am.
Police said a CCTV camera installed in the vicinity revealed that Panwar’s friend Abhinav Tomar fired two gunshots.
Police recovered bullet shells from the spot. Police have registered a case under Section 109, 190, 191 (2), 190 (3) of the BNS and Section 25/27/54/59 of Arms Act at Sector 34 police station.
In the incident, Ankur also received injuries on the head. Police have registered a cross FIR too. tnn
