BJP Kurukshetra executive meet
KURUKSHETRA: Ahead of upcoming state assembly elections in Haryana, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held its Kurukshetra district’s detailed executive meeting on Sunday, in which the workers were given tasks to reach people with the information about government work and schemes.
The meeting was presided over by Haryana Vidhan Sabha speaker Giani Chand Gupta.
Speaking to the media, Gupta said, “The meeting at district level in Kurukshetra was held to motivate and give new direction to the workers in view of the upcoming state assembly elections.
The workers have been tasked to reach among the people with the information about the public welfare schemes and work done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Centre government and earlier Manohar Lal Khattar-led and now Nayab Singh Saini-led Haryana state government’s historic and courageous decisions.”
He said that meetings would also be held at the block and booth levels also, as preparation for the state elections. He added that such meetings are being held in all 22 districts of Haryana.
To a query about 2024 Lok Sabha elections in which BJP lost five seats in Haryana, Gian Chand Gupta said, “BJP has one five seats, 44 assembly constituencies in the state while Congress won at 42 assemblies. Even at the national level, BJP alone won 241 seats and Congress only won 99 or 98 seats. Congress is saying that they have won and misleading the people.”
