Five unit tests for Classes 9-12 this year
Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has announced the schedule for unit tests for students of Class 9-12. Five such tests will be conducted based on a question bank assessment method this academic year.
The first test will be held on July 25 and 29, the second on Aug 8 and 22; the third on Sept 12 and 26; the fourth on Dec 12 and 26; and the fifth on Jan 9 and 10.
Each test will carry 25 marks.
The question banks for the tests will be prepared and sent by the board. Govt and grant-in-aid schools will assess students based on the question bank, while private schools can use the question bank voluntarily. Sources said that efforts are being made by the state govt to improve the quality of education through continuous assessment.
