Congratulations to Luca Maresi and the whole conference team, along with CNES, the Technical Committee, all speakers, exhibitors, sponsors and the >600 participants for making last week’s 4S Symposium in Palma de Mallorca the most successful and popular edition ever! The programme was of a particularly high standard this time, showcasing the real and rapid progress being made in small satellite missions, systems, technologies/products and commercial services. It was a pleasure for me to act again as Technical Chair of the parallel CubeSat workshop, and of course to meet up with so many friends and colleagues in the small sat community. I feel truly honoured and delighted to be taking up the leadership of the 4S Symposium from Luca going forward. A very high bar has been set over the last 20 years, but I know that I can rely on an excellent 4S team, Technical committee, and of course Luca as Honorary Chair, for the organisation of the next edition in last week of May 2026.
