Economic Mission to Japan - Day 4 🚀🇯🇵🇱🇺 Today, the Luxembourg Space Agency and JAXA: Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency reinforced their commitment to advancing space exploration and technology together. Both agencies confirmed their mutual interest through a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC), aiming to explore space projects in areas like space exploration, supercomputing, and commercialization. 🛰️🌌🤝 The first concrete step under these MoCs is the Letter of Intent between LuxProvide and JAXA. This partnership will enhance cooperation in Space, Supercomputing, Quantum, and AI, fostering knowledge exchange and joint solutions for our space ecosystems. 🌠💻🔬🤖 Another highlight of the day was the Luxembourg Japan Business Forum, focusing on satellite communication, specifically direct-to-device satellite connectivity, secure communications, and the lunar economy. Economic Mission to Japan - Day 2 & 3 🇱🇺 🇯🇵 🌌 On the second day of the mission, the space delegation visited the Tansa X Space Exploration Innovation Hub Center at JAXA: Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's Sagamihara Campus. This center is at the forefront of pioneering research in "exploration technology in a wide range of unexplored areas," "automatic and autonomous exploration technology," and "in-situ resource utilization (ISRU) technology." 🔬 The program also included a visit to NTT, expanding our insights into cutting-edge technological advancements. 🤝 On the next day, we had the privilege of meeting with JAXA: Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's President, Dr. Hiroshi YAMAKAWA at Tsukuba. This meeting was an excellent opportunity to reaffirm our shared commitment to advancing our collaboration. 🌍 Additionally, a Government-level MoC reinforces this partnership, aiming to significantly deepen cooperation between the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Japan. This MoC seeks to facilitate further research, exploration, development, and utilization of space by both nations, including academic and research institutes and private sector space companies. The Luxembourg Space Agency is currently taking part in the economic mission to #Japan seizing the opportunity to reinforce the already fruitful collaboration with its Japanese counterpart and visit the Japanese space ecosystem. 🚀🌌 The agency’s delegation started their trip to Japan with a visit in ispace, inc.’s premises. 🏢✨ This visit was the opportunity to discuss the upcoming #M2Mission, which will embark a rover “Made in Luxembourg” 🇱🇺🤖, but also to explore the lessons learned from the M1 mission, and get feedback on the data collected last year 📊🔍. Yesterday, His Royal Highness, the Grand Duke of Luxembourg and Lex Delles, Minister of the Economy, and the Japanese Ambassador Matsubara visited the ispace, inc. office, joined by the Luxembourg Space Agency.
