See you in 5 days in our final conference "Elevating Urban Air Mobility" in Luxembourg! Soon Flying Forward 2020, AiRMOUR, and AURORA-UAM will end, representing 34 organisations from 12 countries. To summarize the most important findings, the final panel at our conference will be in light of our joint recommendations, represented by Pasquale Junior Capasso from FF2020, Jonas Stjernberg from AiRMOUR and Ivana Semanjski from AURORA. What did they do? 💡 Three years of work and many relevant results, tools and lessons have now been condensed into 10 joint recommendations that serve to start discussions and as a call-to-action for the entire #UAMcommunity: regulators, industry and (local) authorities alike. They also aim to support future endeavours in the drone and UAM field. After a selection process with all three projects, ten top recommendations were selected, and during the conference, they will be revealed - so don't miss this panel session! Great to be back in the garden city, Singapore for the 63rd Annual Conference of the International Federation of Air Traffic Controller's Association (IFATCA) which is being held from April 15th to 19th, 2024, focused on the theme "Invest in People: The Future of ATM." Against the backdrop of the rapidly evolving aviation industry, the conference meant to underscore the critical importance of human capital in shaping the future of Air Traffic Management (ATM). Discussions and presentations will be centered on strategies to enhance training, professional development, and well-being of air traffic controllers, recognizing them as the cornerstone of safe and efficient air transportation. Delegates from around the world are expectant to exchange insights, best practices, and innovative approaches to address the challenges and opportunities facing the ATM sector. The conference will serve as a platform for fostering collaboration, advancing technology, and advocating for policies that prioritize investment in the human element of ATM to ensure a safer and more sustainable aviation ecosystem.

👉EU industrial policy moving into a new gear 👉Enlargement as EU-27 moves towards EU-30+ As the dust is settling following the BusinessEurope & EARTO by-invitation-only discussion earlier today on the next framework programme for research & innovation (FP10), these two items stand out to me. Both areas carry substantial risks for R&I (could conceivably overwhelm all other political considerations), but also opportunities for the research & innovation community if the developments are guided properly. Let us tackle the two one by one. 1️⃣ EU industrial policy and its impact on FP10: If it becomes about using FP10 for EU state subsidies to ‘pick winners’ (eg state subsidies to build battery factories and hydrogen plants on EU soil) then research and innovation will suffer. If it is about advancing the cutting edge in science & technology, and supporting the talent that achieves that, then it can be interesting. 2️⃣ EU enlargement and its impact on FP10: if it is about ensuring everyone (including all potential new EU member states) gets exactly the same amount of € from FP10, then research & innovation will be slowed down. If it is about ensuring level playing field and supporting and boosting excellence across the full continent — including though synergies where eg cohesion policy funding programmes targetedly support capacity building for R&I — then there is potential to greatly boost research & innovation and its continental impact. In short, it is vital that research & innovation stakeholder organisations assume leadership in guiding these developments in a good direction, and doing it across the full R&I landscape (business, research & technology organisations, universities, etc) is the best way forward. I am looking forward to continuing working with our friends in BusinessEurope, EARTO - European Association of Research and Technology Organisations, Science Europe, European University Association and others to achieve this!

Today the RATPgroup is organizing a Passenger Information Festival (IV stands for “information voyageurs” in French) in Paris with hundreds of experts from the company attending. Public transport is foremost about passengers, and for passengers the network doesn’t exist if there is no information about it. The better the information, the better the perception of the network.
