CICE has launched Canada’s first $3 million call for innovation focused on wildfire prevention, mitigation and adaptation. The effort to bring the event to the Metro Vancouver region was guided by a consortium of organizations, led by Destination Vancouver and including: ⭐ Pacific Economic Development Canada | Développement économique Canada pour le Pacifique (PacifiCan) ⭐ BC’s Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation (JEDI) ⭐ City of Vancouver ⭐ Vancouver Convention Centre ⭐ Innovate BC ⭐ Frontier Collective ⭐ Metro Vancouver’s Invest Vancouver Last Friday, members of the consortium met for the official announcement of Web Summit Vancouver. The sentiment was clear: collaboration like this consortium is a key aspect of our region’s competitive advantage.
