About us

The Vancouver Convention Centre is the world’s first double LEED Platinum certified convention centre. Located on Vancouver’s downtown waterfront with a dramatic mountain backdrop, the facility offers one of the most beautiful settings in the world. The award-winning Convention Centre features two connected buildings with a combined total of 466,500 ft2 (43,340 m2) of flexible meeting, exhibition, ballroom and plenary space. The facility is committed to environmental sustainability as well as unparalleled service, technology offerings and culinary excellence. The first-ever repeat winner of the International Association of Congress Centres’ award for “World’s Best Convention Centre”, the Centre has an extraordinary team that brings together event details. They also offer five-star cuisine from a “scratch” kitchen philosophy of using fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients and industry-leading technology with connection speeds of up to 1 gigabyte per second.

Today, Calgary’s BMO Centre at Stampede Park is ready to welcome the world, officially becoming Western Canada’s largest convention centre with the grand opening of its 565,000 sq. ft. expansion. Following decades of planning and four years of construction, the over 1M sq. ft. Tier 1 convention facility opens its doors for the first time, not only creating an architectural landmark for Calgary, but making gatherings even greater with our western hospitality and community spirit. Thank you to our generous funding partners – The Government of Canada, the Government of Alberta and The City of Calgary – for their $500M investment in this world-class facility. Calgarians are invited to tour the expanded BMO Centre for the first time on Saturday, June 8, during the Calgary Stampede’s Community Round Up, presented by ENMAX, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Join us for FREE pancakes, FREE parking and FREE family fair fun!     This week is National AccessAbility Week. #PWD #NAAW2024 At PavCo, we’re dedicated to fostering an environment where every team member, client, and guest can thrive safely and inclusively. Every day, we welcome people from across the world at our venues and we’re committed to providing the best experience possible for every person, no matter their background or accessibility needs. PavCo is again taking part in Pledge to Measure, an Accessible Employers program that will help us measure and improve our disability inclusion in the workplace. Our Accessibility Committee has spent time with experts identifying accessibility barriers at both venues which has highlighted some key areas for improvements including mobility devices, hearing loop technology and sensory rooms and kits. Watch for BC Place and Vancouver Convention Centre light up in red this Wednesday as we join Easter Seals BC/Yukon in recognizing Red Shirt Day of Action for Accessibility and Inclusion.
