Best restaurant in Bcn with a full menu of vegan options

Blu Bar is, from my perspective, the best vegan restaurant in Barcelona. The menu is fully vegan, although it looks unreal at first glance because they serve so many options. I've tried several pizzas and tapas and all of them were beyond delicious. The calzone is amazing, but my favourite dish has to be the truffle and pumpkin carpaccio. The restaurant is animal-friendly and has quite a generous terrace. The people working there are so friendly that it feels like you are at home. We're always greeted very kindly, especially by one of the waiters, Leo who is super attentive and thoughtful (he also has the most adorable dog that looks like a teddy bear). I've made it a personal goal to try all the things on the menu and to take all my friends there.

An outstanding vegan gem

I have never eaten such a tasteful vegan food as at Blu Bar in Barcelona. The pizza was simply amazing, tacos with Vegan cheese literally delicious, like the sweet potatoes wedges incredibly savoury too. The Bar worths a visit even for the cosy and friendly atmosphere you can experience there. Marco, the general manager, has a nice word for everybody, the staff is gentle and welcoming and the community enjoying the venue is interesting too to chat and to share hidden insights about your stay in Barca. Super Highly Recommended!

Best place I’ve eaten in Barcelona. Staff was also incredibly knowledgeable about other vegan places and detailed in explaining how the food was prepared. Absolutely marvelous. THANK YOU and see you soon!!

Food okay, but cheated on prices

We have eaten twice here as the food was okay, but we felt cheated by the poor service we received. The Bar advertises a " menú del día" comprising a Gourmet Sandwich, drink and coffee for a fixed price. Although we asked the waiter for the menú del día and he repeated it back to us, so there was no problem with translation, but we were still charged the full price of the individual items. The service was very slow even though there were not many customers when we ate at 1pm mid week. I don't like to feel cheated so we won't be going back.

Good food, but a little bit pricey

We had two guys as a waiters and they were really nice and friendly. The food is 100% vegan and it is very tasty. In my opinion, it's a bit pricey. In addition they are charging 10% extra if you are sitting outside, which is ridiculous. The food is good, but I would rather go somewhere else because of this. Also, after you finish with your meal, a girl come to your table (Aran) and ask you to write a review and say a few nice words about her, even if she was not your waiter. I guess that's why there is a lot of comments in the last few days. I mean I would write a positive review if our waiters asked us, because they were nice, but this is just stupid.

You just HAVE to experience this yummy place

We chose this place because it looked good and thank god we did. We are not vegan snd had no idea it was. The waiter Marko was so lovely and friendly and gave great service. Great wine menu choice, we ordered a pizza snd the Mexican bowl which was stunning. He then told us how he made it and we didn’t realise it was vegan 🎉❤️. The dinner wasn’t expensive really good prices we would eat there every day happily 11 out if 10 awesome !!

Vegan become normal

Our visit to the Blu Bar was for lunch on a weekday. First of all, we are surprised by a menu full of food that is not so normal to find in a vegan restaurant. The cochinita tacos or focaccia ham and mozzarella were what we choosed. It’s a great way to name their recipes but it’s certainly all vegan. The taste of the food is fascinating and the presentation matches the modern and relaxed look of the place. The price is not very expensive, and our sensations were right for the average quality of the food you get. Good place to repeat.

I love Blu Bar!! Since the first time I went there with a friend I always manage to go back. The food is seriously delicious, many types of cocktails, the location is in one of the nicest Ramblas of Barcelona and the staff is super welcoming and speak many languages to make you feel comfortable. Last time I eent there with my dog, they even brought a bowl of water and left by my table. This is customer care!! And the best of it all is that all the food is vegan 💚🌱

Great location in the beginning of the Rambla de Poblenou. You can always sit in a great atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and helpful people! The food is amazing, taste is great and all the products being used are honest and consciously chosen. My favorite place in town!

Really nice friendly chill vibe inside. Music playlist was perfect and the food arrived very quickly after ordering by a very friendly Italian called Marco. The food was 100% plant based and very tasty, just what I needed, would highly recommend to friends!

Unquestionably the best vegan restaurant I've ever been to

I'm always out looking for vegan places and I encountered Blu Bar by accident wandering down Poble nou; but after stopping by once it immediately went to the top of the list of best pizza of my life. I have since been back a number of times; tried every pizza and am now working my way through the sandwiches and bowls, and everything I have tried is crazy delicious. I took my team from work there for lunch one time, and with none of them vegan were very skeptical, but all came away full, impressed, and a number of them have been back since. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and given how busy it is every time I go in, attentive and swift with orders. Great atmosphere and delicious food, always the first place I recommend to people asking for eateries in Barcelona.

Delicious lunch at Blu Bar

We visited Blu Bar for lunch. We sat in the nice outdoor area on comfy chairs. We had the Tacos and the Popeye Pizza. Both were delicious. Service was quick and friendly. The waiter offered to add a fourth taco (normally a portion is 3) so we could share them easily. This turned out to be the perfect amount of food. I definitely recommend the tacos. There were several other pizzas that also sounded great.

Rude service and overpriced

Usually we like this kind of places, but here attitude did not correspond to the vibe. Food is ok, service unfriendly, three big ice cubes in juice for 5 EUR taking half of the glass although it was very cold outside. We were obliged to take place at the terrasse on a cold and windy day in winter and were charged 10% for this. No blankets were proposed and heaters were switched off. Trendy place but not good value for money.

Great vibe

We came here while staying nearby in the Poblenou area. We don't normally eat vegan food but this place is always full of people, with a lively atmosphere and friendly staff. Food is a global mix but nice, light, and tasty :) Would visit again.

Very popular bar restaurant in Rambla del Poblenou servind some of the best vegan food we have ever tasted - despite being committed carnivores! Superbly looked after by Marco and his team - we just kept going back. Worth the wait for a table if it's busy. Great value too. Loved it.
