If you base your decision solely on exterior of the building, you’d likely be like me and second guess staying. Exterior is old, and not overly welcoming for a Marriott property. I almost didn’t go in.

To my surprise i walked in to a nice clean lobby and very friendly staff. Room was somewhat dated, small with a strange corner bathroom but it all worked for the space of the room. Room was clean.

Location was great proximity to the airport. I honestly can’t say I’m rushing to stay here again but, I wouldn’t deter anyone from this property. There was nothing “bad” about it. Just wasn’t a noteworthy showing by Marriott.

We stayed here for two nights. The hotel needs a lot of work. It is old and worn. It requires an overhaul. Given our schedule, it was convenient for us, but the hotel needs some TLC. The staff was friendly and pleasant, but the rooms and bathroom were small. It was convenient to local places and interstates but not sure it was worth the $ given we are staying in a Fairfield Inn north of this location and it is modern and spacious.

I stayed one night to attend a local wedding. The front desk staff was helpful and checked me in efficiently. When I stepped into the room, there was an overwhelming odor. When I inquired about whether there had been an animal in the room the staff member said it was possible. She offered to run an ionizer(ozone?) machine if I wanted when I was at the wedding. They had the door propped open when I returned to air the room out and it was better at first. While I was trying to sleep the smell was nauseating even with the ac blowing on high.
I let the front desk know when I checked out how bad the smell was and she said they would shampoo the carpet. Why wasn’t that room taken out of use for the night or until they could deal with the urine soaked carpet? Won’t stay at another Fairfield Inn again. 🤮
