Fantastic views

Reviewed Mar 19, 2017
Easy to check in and out of. Just spent a week in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit overlooking the ocean on the 6th floor. Located on a quiet area of Estero boulevard but an easy 15 minute walk to downtown area for restaurants. We were lucky enough to spot dolphins from our balcony on a couple of mornings. Comes with fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, also washer/dryer ensuite. Stunning sunsets and fantastic views. A parking spot is also included.

I came and stayed here with both my parents last summer and was pleasantly surprised when we arrived of how homely the apartments were. We have two bedrooms, a lovely open planned living/kitchen space! Amazing view of the beach, they put up a netting around the balcony to stop any bugs coming into the property. We stayed here for a week and the fact you could walk down straight onto the beach was amazing. We never used the pool which was mostly used by young families (didn't bother us) but used the beach mostly every day. Towels were provided for the beach by the apartments. Parking our car was tight but we did have a 9 seater SUV !?! Smaller cars fitted perfectly, had undercover and out of cover spacing. We walked mostly to the restaurants in the main part of Fort Myers Beach but also drove out to a few restaurants recommended by friends and family. We also drove over to few other islands like Naples (took max of 40minutes). We played a few crazy golf courses ( fun for the kids as well as adults as the courses are enjoyably crazy itself!! Hope you enjoy Fort Myers as much as we do, I definitely be going back in the near future. Just BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Room tip: Higher Floors better view!

Best part of FM beach - for the sun and family fun. It is extremely nice to have Pink Shell next door to
use their restaurant. Dealing with the owners of the Abaco for rental. Very nice and accommodating.

Booked early for a week stay in May. Have visited for years, but this was our first stay with Abaco. Peter had everything ready for us, and called to let us know we could check in early. Right on the beach, overlooking Sanibel. Great room with washer/dryer, screened porch, nice pool. Beautiful Sunsets! We will never stay anywhere else again!

Room tip: We stayed on 6th floor, great view!

very nice stay, right on the beach at the north end of the island. a large resort (Pink Shell) is right next door. you can hear the music from the resort, but you can't use their facilities (the poolside bar/restaurant will let you in, but it's awkward)

the north end of Ft Myers Beach is about a 20 minute walk from the restaurants and bars in the center of town. or a 5 minute drive. cabs are readily available if you don't like to walk, but the walk is a nice one. you can also walk down the beach during the day.

rooms are spacious and clean, with a nice living room area (and big-screen TV) and a small kitchen with fridge, stove, coffee maker and microwave. also dishes and silverware. also a patio over-looking the beach.

no major complaints, but the villa is a bit removed from the center of town (not a big deal, really) and the pool is just a kiddie pool. would be great if they had a reciprocal arrangement with Pink Shell to use their pool.

on the plus side, not being in the center of town means it is quiet, and this would definitely be a great choice for families.

Room tip: condo end-unit was great for us

Abaco Beach Villas, owned by Peter and Susan Lisich, is the perfect little spot for our spontaneous getaway! I brought the family back in August 2014 to Fort Myers Beach and was researching our next stay when I found the Abaco Beach Villas. Couldn't pass up the price and location! Peter and Susan are the best hosts! No nonsense booking and the price was very nice! I think its because there isn't a lot of overhead that gets passed down to the renter. The condo is beachside and the view incredible!

The pool is really nice and clean although a little small. Two gas grills are right next to the pool, but are a little old and used looking. I wouldn't hesitate to cook on them though. Pool box is located by the pool and beach entrance. Its a take and leave kind of thing, with sand toys, pool floats, etc. We donated a few items already!

Below are a few tips:

What you will need:
1. Ice (ice maker very slow and doesn't produce much.
2. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets (if you want to wash a few things while you are here)
3. Insulated travel cups for the beach
4. Coffee (filters are supplied by Peter and Susan)
5. Lots of sunscreen and aloe! (my boyfriend got burned our first day, LOL)
6. cooler

What is provided:
1. Plates, silverware, cups, knives, etc.
2. Washer/dryer (but you will need to buy your own detergent)
3. Beach towels (and they are really nice and big)
4. Beach chairs (but there is also a rental right on the beach, around 30-40 dollars for the day for two chairs and an umbrella)
5. Hair dryer
6. Each bathroom has a hotel sized shampoo, conditioner and soap bar.

All in all, I would absolutely stay here again!
