Must say the gulf view was worth it! Waking up and having breakfast (Flippers on the Bay is not free but worth it) on the suite just looking at the water was just what we needed!!! There were a few minor things- the carpet could be updated and the pull out sofa looked fatigued. Having said that the unit was clean and there was plenty of dishes and things you need for the kitchen for you not to go out and buy certain things but Publix is not too far away for you to get other things. The staff was friendly Robert at the front desk was very friendly and professional. The beach is walking distance but you can drive and park too. Nightlife is around the corner. Will come again!!!

The unit we stayed in was very clean but very 80's in decor. A full kitchen complete with a dishwasher and a lovely balcony which got morning sun. My husband loved seeing all the seabirds from the large windows. Cleaning staff was inconsistent in when they came but I think we were supposed to put out the cleaning notice on the door- that was never explained. The only beach was across the road and somewhat small but not overrun with people. There is no restaurant except Flippers which is not really the type of restaurant one finds in a hotel. There is no other restaurant or shopping within walking distance. For us, the location worked well as we visited people in Naples and Ft. Myers. The pool looks lovely but we never used it. On warm days it was filled by 10 am and on other days the wind came directly at it so it was unusable.

My wife and I booked this place through VRBO and it was mostly as advertised. The room was great, beautiful view of the bay, and dolphins daily from our balcony. Our room was clean, we used the laundry facilities which accept credit card and were also nice. The pool is beautiful and has a waterfall. Flippers restaurant is attached to the pool although it is pricey even for drinks. ONE ISSUE there needs to be better management over site of who are actual guests of the hotel. On a Saturday the pool was taken over by an entire group (most who appeared to be staying at the hotel) which was fine. However they proceeded to bring a massive sound system to the pool, blaring it through the area, we finally just left the pool and could still be heard through our windows 9 floors up. The next morning the pool area was trashed, garbage in the pool, around the pool, etc. It was sad that the group was allowed to continue when the were blatantly interfering with other guests ability to enjoy themselves. One lady had to be carried out of the pool late in the night due to being intoxicated. We did not let this one bad night ruin the entire stay though. We will be back to this place.

My wife and I stayed here this past July 2022. Excellent Service throughout from the moment of Check in with front Reception agent( Sade) and all the way throughout our complete Stay. Both Sade in the am and Sheri on the pm shifts complete each other with the outmost perfect service to all the clientele! The resort is gorgeous and the accommodations are superb for any couple or family on Vacation,especially for an extended stay like ours. The Condo resort style unit we had on the 12th floor was top notch with a complete kitchen,seperate big bedroom with soothing tranquille colours and decor. Large bathroom and shower that was also spotless. Housekeeping is provided upon your request and done with amazing fine detail:) *For an amazing meal you are also benefited by the onsite waterfront restaurant(Flippers) that offers an exquisite menu and the most freshest fish on the island of Lovers Key! The chef on site Juan Cruz is hands on with the clients and a true professional! Beautiful grounds for your morning walks, and super close proximity to the Lovers Key Beach,and the exquisite Bonita Springs,a must see! We will definitely return and highly recommend this resort to all travellers in destination to Fort Myers!

I have been to Fort Myers Beach many times so I have always wanted to stay at Lovers Key Resort. The location provides a beautiful view of Estero Bay. This year we decided to give it a try. The website made it seem almost too good to be true, but we went ahead and made a reservation.
The main hook for us was that they advertise a jacuzzi tub in every suite, and that the balcony would overlook the water. There is a lower price for floors 1-5, but I thought it had to do with proximity to noise from the pool area. We took the floor 1-5 rate.
When we arrived, we checked in and were given room 307. Room 307 faces the parking lot so you can barely see the water. AND room 307 has a regular tub and shower.
I went back down to the front desk and was told that, no not all the suites have jacuzzi tubs. However the desk clerk was able to change our room for a better view (room 306).
The next morning I went back onto the website and there it was—the advertising that says there is a jacuzzi in the room! After going back down to the front desk, I complained about it in front a bunch of other customers so the desk clerk was forced to give us a $20/night discount.
I am not sure I would stay here again.

Had two rooms. When asked how our stay was at checkout I said one room was great and the other was really sad. She wasn’t listening and wished me a safe journey
Bed was rock hard, room didn’t feel clean, areas of disrepair, safe needed Batteries ( I don’t have the required screwdriver or batteries with me and reception said they can’t help with safe). Tv remotes don’t operate bedroom tv, balcony floor in desperate need of repair, plates, silverware and cups all different and very few of them? Frying pan handle needs tightening (again I didn’t bring my tool kit) locks and signs everywhere telling you owners areas - we felt we were being allowed to borrow someone’s home when actually we paid a lot for it.
Asked reception if the had a mattress topper to help with the bed as well as bedding for the sofa sleeper in case that was more comfy than the bed. They brought up a brand new mattress for the sleeper sofa but no bedding. So we put that smaller mattress on the bed which helped but it didn’t fit the mattress underneath - awful.
Oh and I didn’t appreciate the old pizza slice in the oven or the nasty cleaning rag in the bathroom cabinet.
So I’m giving it 2 stars because the other room was great, staff at check in and the man delivering mattress was really nice and the location has excellent views. With no sleep for a week I can’t give more.

Pay close attention to the advice about each room being different. We were in 307 and it is very dated. We paid over $400 for one night and it was worth $150. The carpet is stained, white bathroom has yellow stains and kitchenette is out of the 50’s.

Views are great, amenities are excellent. Only disappointment is that they don't have breakfast at the only restaurant on the property. The one they suggested about 3 miles down the road was closed for vacation when we were there! That sucked. We don't believe in wearing "masks" and they did not demand it. We would stay there again.

We have been here before and always love Lovers Key Resort. That said, this time we stayed in #1108 (rental company- Distinctive Beach Rentals) and it was by far our favorite stay. We loved the unit, we love the location, and it is just across the street from one of the most amazing beaches in the areas. We highly recommend!

We rented a penthouse unit to extend our vacation and well we probably should have gone home. The unit was dirty, really dirty. We spent over an hour mopping and scrubbing, filled an entire trash bag with dirty towels and swiffer pads. AC could only be set to 74 and the sun quickly warmed the bedroom to 80+ shortly after sunrise. The pull out queen sofa wasn't, it was a futon that was barely twin sized. The surfacing on the deck was peeled off to expose bare deteriorated concrete, and wow did the ants love it. The pool is small, definitely not "resort" level. We checked out after day 1 of 3 without refund. Lesson learned. The views are great, but that's about it.
