We stayed 4 nights at the Lighthouse Resort Inn. We were in room 166. The resort is to the right of the bridge that goes to the mainland, as you look at it from the beach side.

The room was small, but had a double bed, TV, A/C, 2 small tables, a bigger fridge (4 foot?) with a big ice compartment, an ironing board but no iron, and a coffee pot.

The bathroom had a tub and shower, but the sink was outside the bathroom.

There were 2 chairs and a small table on the patio. Note - there was no chair in the room.

The resort has 2 pools, one of which you need a room key to access. We did not use either pool, as the weather was cold.

There are 2 tiki bars, but both are in the same area.

Our room was far enough away from the tiki bars that noise was not a problem.

There is permit parking. You may have to move barriers to go in/out, as they try to keep the parking for hotel guests only. And beware that as you drive to the office to check in, you'll probably have to back out again, as the parking lot road is a dead end.

The beach is about 4 blocks away, but it is tough to cross the road along the way. If you go to the crosswalk, add one more block to your travel.

The staff were very friendly and answered my many questions accurately.

We would stay there again.

The hotel is clean and rooms are large. Bed was comfortable except the pillows. We had a king with a fridge and microwave and two burner cook top. Bathroom was large and had nice standup shower. We had two doors in our room. One was the main entrance and then a door on the back with a semi private balcony. You could sit out there and watch the workers building the new Margaritaville Resort. The tiki bar is loud and lots of ladies screaming having a drunk fest. I guess they were having fun but it was ridiculous to not be able to go to sleep until 1130 each night or later. We did not use the pools but they looked ok. We did not eat at the on-site restaurant either. We enjoyed Time Square area and we did eat at the Yucatán which is sister restaurant to the hotel and got 10% discount. It was very very good!
We went to the front desk a couple of times to ask questions about this or that and the people working at front counter were not too helpful.

Sorry this review took so long. I visited back in December of 2020 what a year this was, and it was nice to get away and be able to feel “normal” for a bit. The lighthouse was the perfect place to choose for this getaway. I had visited more than 13 years ago and could not wait to get back. The lighthouse did not disappoint, the room was amazing, and the staff was attentive and fun to be around. There was a small hiccup, but I wrote to the management and they went above and beyond to correct the issue. So much so that I will be back again this December.

The Lighthouse is within walking distance to everything Fort Meyers Beach has to offer. The breakfast was reasonably priced and quick. The late-night snacks at the Tiki bar was also very good, especially the pizza. One thing I also love is crossing the bridge and seeing the lighthouse to my left and feel as if I have arrived home. It is also fun to walk under the bridge to the Yucatan for drinks or dinner, makes it feel like an adventure..

But again, it is the staff and their response to my issue that will make me return to this resort again and hopefully again and again. It does hold such dear memories for me, and I cannot wait to return.

See you soon.

Again, thank you to the management team.

First let me say they photographer they hired for their advertising photos is great. The property is not as nice as it looks in the photos. On site parking is limited. The property is old, as evidenced by the rust around the drain on the cast iron bath tub. We had a room considered to be a business suite. There are no carpets in the room and the floors were dirty. Nothing hanging on the walls except for the TV. Advertisement states daily housekeeping. Upon check-in you find out daily housekeeping consists of clean towels daily and they empty the trash. That happened the first day we were there. To get clean towels we had to go to the towel exchange daily. It also says you will have a patio. That consisted of a plastic table and two chairs in that passageway anyone can use. The Tiki Bar plays music until 11:00 PM. After 11:00 is supposed to be quite hour. Quite hour actually started about 1:00 AM. You can hear emergency vehicles running all night long. The restaurant is located on a different street about a 10 -15 minute walk away. Add about 5 -10 minutes to the walk for everything mentioned in their ad. You first have to walk to the street crossing then wait for the signal to change. Staff at the Tiki Bar are very friendly, the front desk staff not so much. Overall I would not recommend the property at all!

Our room was terribly outdated and dirty. It literally had what looked like carpenters measurements written on the wall that had been there for some time. The bathroom has no exhaust fan which led to horrible condensation making everything dripping wet while showering which is probably a factor in the mildew growing in the shower. There’s a very small mirror on the bathroom wall over sink but no other mirror in the room to see yourself dressed. The floor of the entire room was filthy. While unpacking I sat down and noticed the bottom of my white socks were black and had to throw them away. There’s only 2 small overhead lights over the kitchen area and no ceiling fans or lights over beds. Window Air conditioner was very dated and did not cool adequately, it also smelled of mold or mildew. The furniture was old and beaten up, the bed was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept in. The room itself was located on a street that had noise all hours of the night, we also had no light outside of our room door so it was very dark and unsafe feeling. This was the third time I have stayed at the lighthouse INN, when I complained to the front desk about our room and the amount of time and money we were spending there and requested a different room I was coldly brushed off with an answer saying there were no other rooms available to switch to and “floors do get dirty”(wth). With the choice of several nicer hotels and resorts on the island not to mention the huge new one that is coming in we will most likely not be staying at the lighthouse Inn any more or recommending it to any friends or family.

My husband & I took a trip to Ft. Myers in August. This is what the locals consider the "quiet season". We booked the Lighthouse Suites, thinking it would be a fun place (since we didn't bring our kids) for our couples week. Upon arrival everything was great. Nice room (though a little smaller than the Suites photos depict), overlooking the waterfall pool. However, after we returned from lunch, we discovered a group of people with 2 dogs, and the dogs were swimming IN the pool (1 appeared to be a Rot mix). We hoped this was just a rare occurrence, and passed by to our room. That night, we were kept up until 3 am with a VERY loud group of people by the pool. I had read some reviews of the hotel staff doing nothing to complaints of pool noise, but I didn't imagine "quiet season" would have this problem. We woke up the next morning and decided we just wouldn't spend much time at the hotel, we would make the best of our trip. However, that afternoon a rain shower came in so we returned to our room to relax. Soon after we heard loud voices on OUR balcony. My husband opened our door to find a group of 6-8 people drinking and smoking (later my husband told me 1 man was smoking meth). My husband calmly asked them to leave. They reacted by saying, "No big deal, Man". My husband said, "Yes, it is a big deal, this is a private balcony. You need to leave." After going back and forth, they moved down to the pool deck. However, we overheard them making a threat toward us. This was all we could take. We went to the office and explained our situation (also that we felt threatened). They told us we could leave, but they would not be able to refund us that night (it was 5:00 pm). They seemed to be very lackadaisical about our complaints. We were disappointed, but all we wanted was to get off the hotel grounds. Luckily, after checking a few hotels/resorts, we ended up with a room directly on the beach for just a little more $ per night. After talking with some locals during the week, we discovered that this seems to be an issue at the Lighthouse, drawing a "partying" crowd. Needless to say, we will NEVER be returning.

My husband and I stayed for one night at this lovely little resort. It is such a friendly place. They have two pools and all rooms seem to overlook one of them. The rooms are spotless and a good size with very comfy beds and a small kitchenette. They have a huge tiki bar by one of the pools which served reasonably priced drinks and food. We were there on a Tuesday night and they had karaoke which was actually quite fun. You can always tell when a place is good because there were loads of locals there as well as holiday makers. We took a small dog with us and they were great with her. She was allowed absolutely everywhere as long as she was well behaved and on a short leash. The inn is right opposite the beach and amongst all the restaurants and activities. Shame we could only stay the one night

First off, they should note in the reservation that a massive hotel is being built next door and the noise is always present. We couldn’t open our doors or sit outside because of the noise. On two occasions we found a live cockroach in the bedroom! My husband had to chase them down and smack them with a shoe. The large rug in the living area was coated with stains, hair, and crumbs. The flooring was dirty. Our feet actually got hair and dirt on them from walking on it (gross)! There is no daily maid service, they didn’t even change out our towels or garbage daily as they were supposed to. I find it crazy that we paid about $500 a night and had no maid service!! Even when we asked them to change out our towels and take our garbage they did not (but said they would). I can go on about other things like the lack of parking, the rude manager, the dilapidated furniture, and so on but I think my point has been made! Don’t stay here!

This hotel is awesome! In our opinion, appeared to be one of best options in Ft. Myers Beach. It has two pools, one in the tiki bar and one other away from the bar with a waterfall. The room was beautiful and clean with a full kitchen. It is close to everything, you can walk across the bridge to some great restaurants (Dixie Fish Co.) or easily walk to Times Square and the beach. Food in the Tiki bar was delicious and we sang karaoke one night. We loved our stay and would stay here again.

If you like to camp and stay in cottages this is the place for you. The décor was dated, kitchen doors falling off hinges, unfinished dry wall in bathroom, peeling paint in bathroom. stained couch with a pull out mattress from "days gone by", you may actually see it on Antique's road show. The coffee maker burner was burnt, ceiling fan needed a string , hallway light left on all night which I understand for safety, but please get blinds that work that would block out the light. Complimentary toiletries I believe were used and just left in the cottage, they were not even all the same brand. And you get all this for $450.00 a night! Their saving grace is the Tiki bar staff.
