We had a great time at Abaco Beach Villas. You can sit on your back porch and watch boats, large and small, come into the harbor or you can go out the front to the beach. Even tho you have to cross the street to get to the beach you are really much closer to the water than on other parts of the beach. Because you are near the end of the island, there really isn't much traffic. You also have a couple of pools to choose from. They do charge a fee to play tennis but you can go to the park and play for free.THe villas are within walking distance to the pier and public beach or their are Trolleys for those who really don't like to walk.THere were 5 of us who stayed in a 2 brdm unit. THe unit was impeccably clean..THe very most important thing to me. You couldn't tell that anyone had ever stayed there before. THere were a couple of small glitches that didn't really bother us...a light that took about 20 seconds to come on after you flip the switch and occasionally the microwave would interfere with the TV.THe furniture wasn't extremely comfortable for an evening movie and we are really a 2 TV family, but over all we had an excellent time. It is a little pricey, but it IS really clean.

I just spend a week at Fort Myers Beach, staying at the BeachVillas (Abaco) (250 Estero BLVD) and just LOVED it. We rented a 2 bedroom condo (end unit), that had a balcony on either end of the building so in the morning we could watch the sun rise from the master bedroom balcony and watch the sun set on the living room balcony. The views were breathtaking and we just hated to leave. We would definitely go back

The condo was a 15 minutes walk to Times Square (along the beautiful white beach of Fort Myers) where there were many restaurants and lots of 'sourvenier' type stores.

We felt very safe and walked home several evenings along the beach with no light, listening to the surf roll in and watching the stars twinkle.

Peter who is the 'innkeeper' was great and very pleasant to deal with. I would not hesitate recommending him or these condos to anyone.

After doing much research, I believe we found the perfect family vacation at the Abaco Beach Villas. The location is at the quiet end of the Island. Short walks to just about everything. I booked directly with the owners (Susan and Peter) who live nearby and greet you personally. I cannot imagine what else they could do to better cater to families.

The unit we stayed in was complete with a full kitchen (including dishwasher), washer and dryer. All dishes, silverware, and cups were provided. There were three televisions and a DVD player. The beachfront pool has umbrella tables and gas barbeque grills for cooking out. They even had a fishing pier and boat docks on the island side.

We rented jet skies next door at the Peach Shell Resort and took the Island Tour from the mainland to Captiva Island. Lots of interesting food choices in the nearby Times Square area.

My husband and I stayed at the Abaco Beach Villas, now part of the Pink Shell, in February-March of 2007. We booked it 'sight unseen' but we couldn't have asked for anything better! Our unit was immaculate upon arrival and the owners were just wonderful. The location is perfect with a balcony to watch the boats on one side and the glorious Gulf of Mexico on the other. We could watch the sun rise from one balcony and then watch it set from the other....is there anything better than that?
We're looking forward to another wonderful vacation at this great spot in 2008!

The Abaco Beach Villas condos couldn't have a better location (the quiet, and pretty end of the island) where you can walk to peaceful nature one way and to jumping bars and restaurants the other way. The views from the condos are fantastic--overlooking the white-sanded huge stretch of beach and then the bay on the other side with its boats, docks, birds and dolphins. The condo itself is tastefully decorated has everything you may need - - you can cook if you choose (not us!), and with 2 full bathrooms, it's all about convenience and comfort. The owners (Susan and Peter) are local and answered all our questions, accommodated us, and gave us great suggestions. Didn't want to leave

Our family of four stayed in a two bedroom villa last Christmas week and had a wonderful time. Location was great, unit was spotless (looked brand new) and just as described. Nice nature park next door for family and short walk to everthing!

Booked early for a week stay in May. Have visited for years, but this was our first stay with Abaco. Peter had everything ready for us, and called to let us know we could check in early. Right on the beach, overlooking Sanibel. Great room with washer/dryer, screened porch, nice pool. Beautiful Sunsets! We will never stay anywhere else again!

Abaco Beach Villas, owned by Peter and Susan Lisich, is the perfect little spot for our spontaneous getaway! I brought the family back in August 2014 to Fort Myers Beach and was researching our next stay when I found the Abaco Beach Villas. Couldn't pass up the price and location! Peter and Susan are the best hosts! No nonsense booking and the price was very nice! I think its because there isn't a lot of overhead that gets passed down to the renter. The condo is beachside and the view incredible!

The pool is really nice and clean although a little small. Two gas grills are right next to the pool, but are a little old and used looking. I wouldn't hesitate to cook on them though. Pool box is located by the pool and beach entrance. Its a take and leave kind of thing, with sand toys, pool floats, etc. We donated a few items already!

Below are a few tips:

What you will need:
1. Ice (ice maker very slow and doesn't produce much.
2. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets (if you want to wash a few things while you are here)
3. Insulated travel cups for the beach
4. Coffee (filters are supplied by Peter and Susan)
5. Lots of sunscreen and aloe! (my boyfriend got burned our first day, LOL)
6. cooler

What is provided:
1. Plates, silverware, cups, knives, etc.
2. Washer/dryer (but you will need to buy your own detergent)
3. Beach towels (and they are really nice and big)
4. Beach chairs (but there is also a rental right on the beach, around 30-40 dollars for the day for two chairs and an umbrella)
5. Hair dryer
6. Each bathroom has a hotel sized shampoo, conditioner and soap bar.

All in all, I would absolutely stay here again!

This was the perfect condo for spending time with my cousin and sister who wanted to treat our 89 yo special aunt. We viewed spectacular sunsets from the back balcony which overlooks the beach, and sunrises from the front. The white sand is like talcum powder and the gulf water is bathtub warm! Owners Peter and Susan are so service oriented and answered any and all questions promptly and made you feel like you have known them for a long time. An added plus was being next door to the Pink Shell resort and listening to their entertainment, and I made use of their marina for a kayac rental where I had an unbelievable dolphin encounter! It is a place I would like to return to!

Easy to check in and out of. Just spent a week in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit overlooking the ocean on the 6th floor. Located on a quiet area of Estero boulevard but an easy 15 minute walk to downtown area for restaurants. We were lucky enough to spot dolphins from our balcony on a couple of mornings. Comes with fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, also washer/dryer ensuite. Stunning sunsets and fantastic views. A parking spot is also included.
