Wish I could have stayed longer! I have never seen 2 people run a resort alone! Thank you so much Jack and Sharon for an unforgettable 3 days..I would go back tomorrow if I could. .clean and fun! That's what my husband and I require. .we just wanted to get away for a couple of days. .we live in Florida about 4 hrs.from fort Myers bch..I will never have to look for a get-a-way again..
We found this hotel by luck when planning a last-minute trip. Have to admit, we were a little skeptical when booking.....but when we arrived we were immediately impressed! A nice, old-fashioned, low-key gem where we expected only modern resorts. Located in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle.
Upon checking in, Jack made us feel right at home. A little later, we met Sharon who was also quite welcoming. Our first floor room consisted of a living/kitchen area, bedroom and bath. The view out the front windows was absolutely beautiful! The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. So nice to listen to the waves and be able to walk straight out onto the wide, uncrowded beach...and the sunsets were unbelievable!
We really enjoyed the patio area where guests mingled and gave advice on good places to go and those best to avoid. A very friendly atmosphere, and we met some great people. Jack and Sharon could not have been more helpful in recommending restaurants and attractions in the area and providing everything we needed for a wonderful stay.
Not a Hyatt....and that's what we loved about it! We plan to be new annual guests.

Jack and Sharon were awesome! Nice, welcoming, helpful and as they promised....pretty much left us to our own pace!
The room was great! Kitchen, bed and bathroom. Felt like home! The balcony to sit and watch the sunset was exactly what we needed.
Yes you have to get your own supply of some things but lots of stores around and the apartment feel was my favourite part! Clean and comfortable with everything you need....coffee maker and a fridge for beer and key lime pie!!
Beach was amazing with noodles, umbrellas and boogie boards available. Remember to shuffle your feet ;)
Loved our stay and will be back...for the sunset, to visit with Jack and Sharon and just to relax.
We came for three days and stayed 9! Will be back!

After I read your review, I believe we were staying at The Wildwave at the same time. I can not agree with your review. (Labor Day Weekend) The rooms are not the Hilton, Hyatt or the Marriott but they are CLEAN quaint Beach Cottage Motiff. As far as supplies for the room, if you read the Check In/Check Out sheet provided, the Guests are responsible for additional toiletries, dish soap and paper goods. Once again, this is not the Hyatt! As for the Management, you my friend are way off course! Jack and Sharon are not GRUMPY unless given a reason...such as children being allowed to play in the Bath Tub splashing water all over the bathroom (as you discussed sitting outside)! Oh...could that have been the reason for water leaking from the second floor? Jack and Sharon have cooked for us, taken us to stores for necessities and guided us to local attractions. By the way....I was staying there and we would have liked to use the BBQ grill that you and your family monopolized! I believe you all stayed there either Memorial Day or 4th of July when we were there also. Needless to say, it probably is best for those of us, that frequently stay at the Wild Wave, for you not to return.
Nice location by the beach..... But dirty apartments, crumbling down and not well equipped. Not enough toilette paper, paper towels or dishwasher liquid......you have to constantly keep asking for those goods to management.....leakage from the second floor into my bedroom because our friend took a shower in their bathroom......wi-fi did not reach our building.. And then to top it off.... Cranky manager with bad attitude....you don't feel welcome. I would never go back.... We spent 2 long weekends here this summer but not anymore.... There are plenty of options along the gulf coast,!!!!!!
