This 360+ year old Ryokan is perfect if you want to immerse yourself in Japanese culture. Escape to a Japanese hot springs wonderland with the luxuries of modern day amenities. The staff here were amazing and the service impeccable. Thank you to everyone, but especially Koji who made our last morning excellent.
We stayed in the quadruple room and it felt like a corner suite at Cosmopolitan LV. In the sense that the entire outside portion wraps around a garden. The private onsen was luxurious and perfect for a quick dip.
Dinner and breakfast were some of the best meals we’ve had in Japan. These meals were served in a common area. However the common area is sectioned off so it still feels very private. Dress in the provided yukatas for the full experience.
One thing I would say though was that they didn’t have small snacks like cup noodle or chips available. The room service was majority sashimi and late at night, we just wanted something small to munch on. Also there is no convenience store in the area.
Aside from that 9.7/10 value for the money and just overall experience.
