Our stay went from bad to worst right from the start to end. So this is a long one!
On landing in Fiji we were grunted at by a driver indicating he was our transfer. Then on check in we meet the grumpiest receptionist (we put it to a bad day but turns out she just doesn’t know what customer service was and was rude the whole stay) we were then taken to our room hut 1, now we didn’t have high expectations but being on our honeymoon, which the resort had been told a number of times. We would have thought we wouldn’t have been allocated in the room right next to the kids pool and bar.
The food at the restaurant was average at best, we had to argue with the staff every morning as we had breakfast included (hot breakfast isn’t normally included but this holiday was a gift and it was paid forward) but this was never communicated. The sausages came out frozen, to which they took the plate and came back with the sausages chopped into small pieces cooked, but the rest cold and hard. Never any apologies in fact not even a smile. The breakfast that’s included is such a poor effort, just bread, some canned pears and the fresh fruit was always at a minimum, we have had better at hostels.
It got to the point were we decided to leave for a couple of nights and stay somewhere else as everything just got too much and when we left they had the audacity to ask if they can use our room since we won’t be there.
As we had to come back to Club Fiji we asked if it would be possible to have a room move further away from all the kids which they said yes no problem. We arrived back to find we were indeed still in room one and they hadn’t even attempted to change anything, even though they had 3 days to organize this and once again no apologies. The staff are a real let down and treat you like you are just an inconvenience in their day to the point were they are passively rude! We voiced our disappointment a number of times and there were so many opportunities they could have at least tried to rectify or at a very minimum apologized, instead we were meet by “just leave a review”. So here we are! There was so many more things it just turned into a joke … book somewhere else to save disappointment!
