Me and my other staff have been here a few days and we absolutely love it!

The photos on the website seriously do not do it justice, the rooms are large and airy and have modern appliances, the showers are hot and there are plenty of loungers and sun beds by the pool so you don't need to worry about getting up early to grab one.

Towels are provided by the pool and in the hotel room, we stayed in a Mountain view room (which also happen to face the pool as well) there are two large deck chairs on a private balcony and surrounded by palm trees.

The staff here are friendly and helpful and will tell you "Bula!" (Hello) every time they see you, if you need anything, they are first class at customer service.

The diner and inside your rooms are the only non smoking areas, and you're not allowed phones whilst eating.

Whilst in Fiji, try to avoid Nadi town, it preys on white folk and you'll be ushered into every shop to look at non-genuine items.

Try going to Latoka, it's by the airport and a 20 minute taxi drive away (30 Dollars - £10). It's like a little London of Fiji where you won't be hassled and there are so many things to experience.

If you're without something to do at night, head down to the pool area around 6/7 pm and they have "band boys" who honestly sing so beautifully, it's relaxing!

If not, head to Smugglers Cove - just down the road, they have music, fire breathers and dancers in an epic show every night, and it's free! This way you can have the perfect night out, without staying in a hotel full of young teens who are travelling the world (no offence, but they do love to be loud at night).

This hotel is a little piece of paradise, and so relaxed! Definitely worth the money!

We only had one night here as we were in transit from the islands and our flight the next day. It is a small resort quite out of the way and nothing within walking distance to do. We were very happy with the rooms, they were quite spacious and everything worked. There was minimal wifi, your allotment will run out in less than 10 minutes, the pool area was small but decent.

We had lunch dinner and breakfast in the restaurant there. It is a sushi restaurant so it you don't like that type of food you may not be happy. The food was good enough but quite expensive for what you got. The drinks at the bar were way overpriced and I didn't see anyone order a drink from the bar which would explain why. The staff there were friendly but the service standard was poor in the restaurant.

I would not choose to stay here again.

I booked this hotel, because it stayed 3 km from the city, on the beach and free transfers to/from airport. The driver was waiting for me at the airport, so it was a good start.
However, after that everything went downhill.
Hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Very far from any civilisation. 3 km to the town - it’s on the map. You need to get a car from the hotel for $10. And, obviously, back. Add at least $20 to the cost of the room.
It will be $15 to airport, $25 to the Sleeping Giant gardens.
You can’t walk to the hotel yourself, as half of the way is thru bamboo jungle along the footpath, which is not safe at any time (according to locals). You can’t buy any snacks or fruits as there is NOTHING around.
I was “upgraded” to a better room, which was super basic. (I wonder how normal room looks like?). Dinner was pathetic and expensive ($28 per Fijian curry from potato and chicken). But there is no other option as I was stuck there.
Nearby beach is very pathetic. Dirty, no facilities , pretty empty ( photo attached). And there is Indian crematorium just 10 minutes walk. And they take ashes of cremated people straight into ocean near hotel ( see photo).

When I decided NOT to extend my stay in this horrible place, they refused to provide the free transfer and demanded $15 as , apparently, they do it at specific times, which, of course, didn’t suit me.
Their website didn’t have any timetable because they made it on the spot. If I decided to wait for 1.5 hours till noon, they would charge me extended stay as check out time is 11.

So, I just left and called a regular taxi.

Here goes famous Fijian hospitality! 😟

I am so glad I moved to Tokatoka resort, which is very classy, walking distance to airport and $30 cheaper!

This “resort”, and I use the term lightly, has been let go in the past year or so. You’ll pay up to $188 a room and get put in a cramped, Ill-equipped room that wouldn’t be worth more than $50 a night. If you pay up to $255 you’ll get a much nicer room by the pool but again this room should be a maximum of maybe $120. There used to be a lovely restaurant called Mamasita’s, but it’s closed now. Currently the staff are running a very basic menu out of the kitchen. The staff used to be really friendly and absolutely lovely, but a change of staff with the change of management has resulted in very desultory service. If you get a smile you’re lucky. If you get the actual drink you order, go buy a lottery ticket because it’s you’re lucky day! Very very un-Fijian response to customer service all round . If you are considering staying here because you have a package to travel to one of the Yasawa island resorts owned by the same company - don’t!!! It’s way more expensive and also a fair drive over a crappy road. Stay closer to the City or marina. We won’t make the same mistake again!

I don't know if it was just my room ( not pool facing but bungalow) but there is an adjoining door to the next room that is not soundproof. I arrived very tired after a working week and facing an early start the next day only to find strangers in my room at 1am. I don't literally mean in my room but they might as well have been. Their talking sounded like they were in the room and woke me up and I was so disturbed could not get back to sleep. The next morning I mentioned this to the guy at reception who said he knew of the problem re soundproofing of the door and that the people had arrived on a late flight. No consideration at all to me in putting them next door knowing the door is not soundproof. And very little apology given, still taking full cost of the room as payment. Nothing was done to redress the issue. The only reason I stayed at the hotel was to sleep and I didn't get that. I know other reviews are more positive but if you stay here make sure it's not this room.

Oasis it is not.

We chose this hotel as it had fantastic reviews on tripadvisor so we suspect some "filtering" must have occurred by management to have only great reviews on their listing.

We were greeted by a bunch of staff who seemed not particularly concerned with their jobs and were shown to our Mountain View room. Let me advise there is no view to the mountains. When we bought this up with staff later, we were advised "oh yes there is if you look through the palm trees" - AND past the roof of the buildings in front of our tiny balcony!

Our room was also tiny. Then things just got worse.

We had bought groceries with us and knew our room came with a fridge, seriously if you knew we were checking in that day wouldn't you switch the fridge on so it's cold for your guests arrival?

Tea/coffee making, but no milk (guess that's why the fridge wasn't on)!?

THEN we had the pleasure of meeting our neighbours who shared a non insulated non soundproof single door with us. Excuse me? Not on ANY of the info online did it state we would be part of an "adjoining room" scenario!

We left our room had a beer by the pool, enjoyed the hot tub, then returned to our room to shower ready for dinner. Ummmmm, something missing? Yes, it's called a shower screen!

Our neighbours continued their domestic through the flimsy adjoining door.

At this point we elected to speak to the staff and voice our complaint, and we were promptly transferred to a "pool view" room. There was no fuss and suddenly there were staff everywhere to help us with out bags etc.

Whilst the hotel considered us to be "upgraded" we can honestly say this was also just a standard hotel room, yes it did overlook the pool, but we didn't choose a room overlooking the pool in the first place!

Once again, there was something missing - oh there's no shower screen! Seriously the bathroom turned into a pond every time we showered.

Toiletries were not topped up/replaced when we used them. Tea/coffee making but no milk. The cleaners switched off our aircon when they made our bed up so we got back to a hot room when we were out for a few hours.

Be warned this is practically at the end of the runway for the airport so if peace and quiet is on your agenda stay well away. The first flights leave Nadi a touch after 7am, trust me, I now know. Also while we were there a group organised a tour, with the bus arrive just after 6.30am & performing a 20 point turn in the tiny carpark with reverse beeper going the whole time. Not. Relaxing.

The only thing saving this review is the restaurant. Mamasake is cracking out some of the nicest food we have eaten on this trip! To my knowledge you can even get a complimentary shuttle bus from other accommodations in Nadi out to mamasake for groups of 4+ people. Congratulations kitchen staff and keep up the good work!

So only time will tell if this review actually gets the "nod" from management to warn others about staying here - Oasis it is not.

Our family and friends stayed here as we have done in the past. I was deeply disappointed a lot has changed since new management took over. They originally had a wonderful resturant mamasitas Japanese which was Definately a drawcard for us returning but sadly that has gone as with a lot of the staff of the hotel. So the hotel now lacks staff and service. We had to ask for our room to be cleaned at 4pm and towels. One room had no tea or coffee and the fridge barely worked. What once was such a lovely quaint friendly hotel is now a poorly managed money making riot. I feel sorry for the lovely staff members that remained whom are so overworked in poor conditions.

From room accommodation, to everything else such as amenities, cleanliness, food quality and overall standard were a total dissapointment. Breakfast was farce and dont get fooled by the package including breakfast. it has not quality or cleanliness. They serve substnadard fruits although the country is famous for its tropical fruits. While the staff are hospitable and attentive, they lack understanding of quality. The buildigns are crammed in to a small space and you are restricted to looking at ugly buildings whereever you sit outside and also surrounded by them.

Has anyone stayed in the 3 bed dorms here at all? What were they like?

Not sure about the 3 bedroom dorm but a friend stayed in a 2 bedroom setup which is essentially 2 rooms with an adjoining door. Personally, I would stay somewhere else that is closer to shops and other support infrastructure.

Most hotels offer a transfer from the airport to the hotel - and probably back to the airport where you would get a flight to Octopus Island.
