The pool which was operating was lovely to swim in and clean, the other one was empty due to the limited amount of visitors which meant they only needed to have one pool operating. The empty pool attracted a lot of frogs (with the rain) which was very entertaining! it was fun getting to see some wildlife. The 3 stray dogs and the little cat were also very friendly and didn't bother us at all.
The beach was pretty dirty and had some rubbish on it but the dirty sea water was due to the heavy rains bringing dirt and mud down from the mountains, the water was like that every place we went, it's just due to the current weather.
Finally, the staff were really great, they were always at our service and super friendly! Louisa made us delicious meals (however, some items were a bit pricey compared to other restaurants) and Brian would kindly drive us and pick us up from our outings for a reasonable price.
Thank you for the stay, a good place to stay at considering the low price !

Accommodation:
>comfortable bed
>clean and tidy
>basic garden but still a nice spot to sit outside
Staff:
>Friendly, warm and they look after you, not 5 star look after you, but sufficient for our needs
Location:
>They are doing a lot of planting and the grounds are tidy.
>Close to the beach which we did some kayaking on
> Pools are sufficient for a decent swim or to just sit in the water and relax
> Short taxi ride to shops, both Nadi and Port Denarau
Food:
> I personally was not fussed on the breakfast so got a cooked chook, cheese and buns from the shop.
>Also purchased 1.5 litres of water to use.
>No issues with Lunch or dinner, but we also ate out.
> The bar food is yum.
>Anywhere you eat it's a bit pricey but we are on an island who depend on a lot of exports.
Drinks:
> Beers are not expensive compared to Auckland city prices
> Cocktails are eye watering though
Overall I'd come back. The money I saved changing my location from Fiji Hilton to Club Fiji meant more spending money.
Cash or credit was accepted wherever we went
Make sure you have cash for the taxis.
Enjoy your holiday and don't expect 5 star at a 3 star.

The rooms, as we expected were rustic and basic and actually quite a good experience as it is something different from our other hotel stays. We found it so expensive though (Aussie school holidays) and upon check out, gave us an amount to pay for all our charge-in-room invoice without showing us a calculated tally of all these.
The beach is not exactly properly swimmable but the pools are pretty well-maintained. There are themed dinners and service can be slow (slower than Fiji slow), options are few if you prefer something other than what’s on pthe themed menu. Cocktails are not significantly cheaper than pricier hotels.
They can arrange taxis for you but when car driver arrives, make sure he is charging the same fee as what the reception says.

Authentic Beachside bungalow was basic but comfortable. Kayaks available for use, pool table, TV room, hammocks, and really clean pools (2). Food and drinks are available at the standard resort price e.g. island price.

There are two nice pools, one with a bit of newly built shade but the other has surrounding broken tiles. The beach front is lovely, albeit right next to a rubbish dump of a beach. The pool towels are a bit smelly even when fresh.
The internet is intermittent and fairly annoying.
Loud pop music plays continuously from the bar next to one pool, but perhaps that’s our ages showing (we span the 20, 30, 50, 60 and 70 age groups). Likewise the music for Sunday live “Polynesian night” was over-amplified western pop, with mostly off key singing, and not a hint of Polynesian.
When it comes to food, the breakfast is basic scrambled eggs, cut in half tasteless chicken sausages (we think), canned baked beans and vegetable stir fry. If you snooze you loose on the fruit options. Toast was complimented with the usual spreads. You are fairly captive for dinner by dining in house, at the pizza place next door, or going by taxi into town. Each night is a different “theme” for dinner, but is stir fry, roast or grill.
On the upside, their taxi/shuttle service is pretty convenient, the atmosphere is very relaxed (there’s no need to dress for dinner or abandon slides and slippers).
Even more, the staff in general are pleasant and welcoming. Don’t expect Les Clefs d'Or Concierges though. The front desk staff get the job done but again, no orientation or information about facilities.
We took the rating to 3/5 because of the relaxed atmosphere and staff who tried their best. We thought it was overpriced but had loads of potential to be a non-corporate relaxed Fiji experience. I doubt we will come back. It’s not the “real Fiji” in our opinion.

It’s all by it’s self down a long gravel road so you can’t walk anywhere. The beach is covered in seashells so you have to wear sandals or shoes so your feet don’t get cut. They have two pools and a large gathering hall with a bar.
The stay includes a continental breakfast but honestly it’s the worst my girlfriend and I have ever seen and we are in our 60’s and travel often.
We are here for only one night as we transition to a sailboat cruise so it was ok for a night but there is no way I’d stay here any longer unless I was very young and on an incredibly tight budget. It is a 3 star resort and my guess it is that high is because it is on the beach. Ocean views to command a premium but I’d rather pay more more a better place.
It’s not without any positives. The bed was comfortable, which is extremely important, and the place was clean. However, you have to share your room and common area with the occasional hornet and birds. No, I’m not kidding. The beds do include mosquito netting but the bartender did say we didn’t need it as the hornets won’t bother you if you don’t bother them.
