Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
It took sometime to find accommodation in Nadi, I kept going back and forth from hotels. But finally I settled on Aquarius on the Beach because of its location and the reviews. From the moment we walked in to the hotel we felt welcomed, there are about 16 rooms so you get to know the staff and vice versa. I really enjoyed the intimate feeling, the beach , pool was perfect and the restaurant serves up delicious meals. The bus to Nadi town was across the street, I felt save walking around there at night. The staff Vili, Salote and Atishma were outstanding and very warm individuals. I had the opportunity to stay here for 14 days soon after the borders were open and it was an amazing experience to say the least.
Unlike the larger Western-style resorts in Denaru where you anonymously blend into the furniture, every worker at the Aquarius will learn your name quickly and greet you like a friend. You feel at home at this smaller resort and benefit from very reasonably priced food and drinks. (Also very tasty food and drink! I spent just $350aud all up over my time, and definitely enjoyed myself over drinks and cocktails)
I stayed in a standard room and was very much so pleased with the facilities, however, I am not very fussy so another traveller with higher standards may be dissappointed with the low shower pressure and basic style. You are paying for what you get, and that’s okay for me.
My only criticisms stem from the fact they have only properly been reopened for just over a month now - sometimes it felt like there was little do or they werent sure if something was operating or not. In due time they will have better knowledge for guests about what tours they can book, places to visit or things happening in the area.
I recommend the aquarius! It’s perfect for a longer stay at a cheap price, you can use it as your base and have a more authentic experience over the larger resorts. Younger travellers looking to upgrade from the hostel experience should come here!

This ticks all the boxes for clean, a comfy bed with ensuite. The rest of fiji time is spent outdoors. Bonus that it is located amongst 6 similar resorts which means taxi services at competitive prices are street side and one can flit from resort to resort for eating and entertainment. Recommend smugglers cove best coffee ever and Ray (sunray) at thr coves front desk will organize safe transport/driver (ours Shepard us thru nadi market at no extra cost..haggling and carry our bags) she also advised on must do's and what to avoid. The spa at the Ramadan is bliss and the hair braids a must have if spending lots of time in the water. Food thru out fiji is blah the Aquarius is as good as any. I had daily standing order for the kakako (raw fish salad) and curry platter is wow. They were happy to make salad to order as I don't do coriander with fish) Beach out front good enough, cocktails yummy and horse riding in the surf a bucket list tick. Cost of living is high, wages poor I was happy to tip for exceptional service, like the young lad on the beach opening coconuts for me to try or taxi driver introducing us to roadside pineapple slice stores. Loved fiji. Make time do fiji river tubing if want to experience pristine nature, people's and service. Unforgettable memory for all who do it...heads up take wee gift for the village children who viewed crayons and coloring book like ours view the gift of a bike

We stayed at the Ramada just along the beach, but used their restaurant several times. First and second time was a delightful experience and beautiful food, once for dinner and once for breakfast. Next time we went we were turned away because it was 9:25pm when we turned up and they close at 9:30pm, I can respect that. So, last night we thought we would get there earlier, so we arrived around 8:30pm. We ordered drinks and received them quite quickly, while we checked out the menu and decided what we wanted to eat. Eventually the waiter came and took our order, we think that he forgot all about us, so that meant we lost around 20 minutes. We had more drinks while we waited for my wife's entree, about another 20 minutes. Then we had more drinks while we waited for our main meal, yes you guessed it, another 20 minutes lost. So we ate our main meal, which we both enjoyed. After eating our main meal we thought that we would like to order a dessert each. The waiter was tidying up in the bar area, so I went up to him to order desserts, only to be told that we could not have dessert because the kitchen was now closed. So we drank up, paid up and left. We can't fault the food, but our experience of this restaurant has been sadly soured.

A lovely clean, tidy and relaxing place to stay. Although a fairly limited food menu on offer, the food was freshly cooked, well presented and reasonably priced (far better than the offerings of a nearby upmarket resort). We ate most meal here with the Kokoda and the curry being our top picks. Our room was a budget room and although small it served us very well. A few days before departure we were “upgraded” to a deluxe room which was bigger but the bed was no where near as comfortable and TV had no netflix. All part of the fun I guess. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The pool is small but clean and warm. A short walk out the back to the beach. If you are not wanting a 5 star resort and can handle some quirks like having to chase the best wifi connection, a generator that sometimes works when the power goes off etc, the things that in hindsight often become the best memories, then Aquarius is great value and might be the place for you.

In this time of world-wide crisis, I thought I would share some fond memories of this wonderful place in Fiji. We go quite frequently to Fiji and stay here each time now. We have tried others but this little place has the best vibes of all. The grounds are beautiful and always well maintained. The staff are wonderful (we miss you all), the rooms are clean and comfortable, the food is great and the environment is whatever you need - relaxing walks, swimming in the pool or beach, entertainment on various nights of the week, pick-ups for day tours, taxis and local buses. Shops close by for forgotten necessities, but there is a small shop on site as well. We will return when the all clear is given for international travel. Until then, stay safe and happy. Sota tale.

We stayed two nights in a twin. For the price and our short stopover the room worked ok. The fridge was a bit noisy so we had to turn it off at night. The curtains were also very thin so the room stayed light all night. The staff were all very friendly and the airport transfer for $20fjd were handy. We ate here the first night. Weren't overly impressed, and there are better places along this little pocket of hotels. Pool area has just been updated a little. Would consider again for brief stop but would also look at other options in the area.

First time to Fiji and staying there made our holiday so much more memorable. Hotel is quaint, with a bright cheerful dining room that opens up to the pool, beach and incredible view. Budget friendly, and staff made the experience more memorable - felt more like family then staying at expensive resort. We had ocean view room which was clean, with usual amenities. They need to close when doing construction work that needs an angle grinder. As that was operating the whole afternoon right out by the pool, so you couldn't enjoy the food, drink or even sit in peace.
I had a budget room, #1 it's right by the entrance, can hear every convo at reception. Room also surrounded on other side by staff corridor and a door that they have to wrench open to put in/retrieve pps cases, very noisy, easily solved (fix door) so very irritating. Casual vaccuming at 4.50am this morning. Then lots of chats between staff. Can hear everything.
The one receptionist was working so hard, whilst another stood there and didnt do anything except pick paper off the printer, so everything took ages.
For me, not worth the cheapness, wish I'd booked off the beach for less, as can't enjoy the view bc of angle grinder and tradesman van parked right in front.

Thank you for your review. Our sincere apologies for the construction work that was going on during your stay. We had warned our guests in advance of the work that would be done during some hours of the day, but the work has gone on longer than the contractors estimated, causing concern with our guests and our team. That noisy work is now completed, and the area around our pool is refurbished and more spacious than it was before. We hope we can entice you to return and enjoy our hotel the way it was meant to be. Thank you to all of the Aquarius staff for such a wonderful stay. The hotel was well-maintained, staff were friendly and the food was excellent. If it's available, would definitely recommend the ocean view rooms as they have a balcony perfect for relaxing. There was great live music in the evening on Friday and Saturday with a kava ceremony guests could participate in.
The location is close to the airport but plane traffic was minimal and it was really nice being on the beach. It's also fairly close to the city center via taxi but far enough away to be a little quieter (there are a few other hotels and restaurants nearby) and there's a small grocery nearby (walkable) for amenities.

Hi. Unfortunately, there is no coral to see close to our beach.The good reefs are a boat ride away. Check with our reception for snorkelling trips and prices.
We are considered a quiet property, but one that is a central location for activities, shopping and of course the ocean, which is on our doorstep. There are party places in the area, and our hotel is a nice quiet place to return to for a good nights sleep.
Bula. The taxi drivers may take US but not always. You can change money at the Airport. The exchange of Fiiji Dollars to US is US$1= FJ$2 approximately
There is a volleyball area,a small swimming pool,and next door there is a man who gives horseback rides on the beach. Kayaks can be rented next door too. It is a small quiet resort. The 2 resorts on either side have live music and activities for a younger crowd.
There are more places to choose from in the Nadi area.
