Had a lovely stay here for two nights. Staff were extremely helpful, rooms were clean and had great views.
Really close to the Interlaken West station so it was easy to find after our train journey from Zurich. Would happily recommend to anyone
Hotel is nice. Five minutes from the Interlaken West station. Breakfast option for vegetarians is limited.
Scope for improvement: (a) bathroom in the rooms lack a hygiene faucet;
(b) The heater in the room works only when it detects a cold temperature. So if you find the weather cold, but the heater doesn’t, then good luck. The hotel manager couldn’t care less.
(c) Tap water in Switzerland is safe to drink. However, it would be good if guests are offered to refill their bottles from the kitchen tap. And not asked to fill water bottles from the water in their room’s bathroom tap, or the tap water in the common room where dirty dishes are kept. It’s the small things that matter.
(d) The manager, Beat Niederer Gastgeber, should adopt a more helpful tone when speaking to guests in a hotel. A shrug or a I-don’t-care attitude doesn’t inspire much confidence.
A perfect, old- fashioned hotel. Spacious, airy room with a great view (one caveat: no walk- in shower-- a big bathtub to step up and into). Staff is lovely and extremely helpful. Breakfast is excellent. Location is a short walk from Interlaken West Station and close to restaurants.
Clean place. Good location, near supermarket Migros. Tiny bathroom. No kettle nor iron in room. Useful shared living room, where we go every night to had a cup of tea, since we don’t have kettle at room. The man in reception is very serious and hard worker. Breakfast is good. They ask you if you want them to make scrambled egg.
We were a family of five that spend one night in two rooms. All in all it was a comfortable stay.
The rooms were simple but adequate, one of the rooms was a corner room which was nice. There is a very nice common area where there are cooking facilities and drinks in a fridge that can be bought at a reasonable price.
The staff were friendly and willing to help in any way they could.
The hotel is located about 5-10 minutes from the core of the town and close to a supermarket as well.
All in all a comfortable stay at a hotel with a lot of soul.
