Detailed Reviews
I stayed here two nights during my summer euro trip. The receptionist was really cool and helpful. She helped me find a few of the things I really wanted to do during my time in Interlaken. The room exactly what I needed. Small, cozy and clean. The bathroom was quite small but it did the job very well. I really enjoyed the location of the hotel as the train station was a 2 min walk away and also the hotel was very quiet and peaceful. Also the main area with all the restaurants is a 5-7 min walk. Very practical. I would definitely stay here again. They also had a nice little breakfast buffet.

We were a family of five that spend one night in two rooms. All in all it was a comfortable stay.
The rooms were simple but adequate, one of the rooms was a corner room which was nice. There is a very nice common area where there are cooking facilities and drinks in a fridge that can be bought at a reasonable price.
The staff were friendly and willing to help in any way they could.
The hotel is located about 5-10 minutes from the core of the town and close to a supermarket as well.
All in all a comfortable stay at a hotel with a lot of soul.

We stayed 4 nights.
Pros: Clean room, convenient luggage storage, helpful and friendly staff, refreshing free-flow of cool, herbal tea. The common lounge with complimentary all-day coffee and tea, microwave, and refrigerator was most useful for chilling out after a day's outing. Breakfast was good, despite not having a toaster for toasting breads. Beat was welcoming and most professional and so was the gentleman who served us at breakfast. The hotel had laundry service, at a separate site next door, which we did not get to use. The hotel was in a quiet residential area, yet within 5 minutes' walk to the train station, which was excellent location.
Cons: The room had a distinct smell which we could not place a finger on, as to what is was. The toilet was small, which needed some strategic planning when using.
A pleasant stay and I will recommend staying there!

Exceptional care by Lenka on Reception and her colleagues. Housekeeping was 5 star.
The hotel’s location just a few minutes walk from Interlaken West station was perfect when arriving and a huge bonus when returning from a day’s excursions.

+1
Clean place. Good location, near supermarket Migros. Tiny bathroom. No kettle nor iron in room. Useful shared living room, where we go every night to had a cup of tea, since we don’t have kettle at room. The man in reception is very serious and hard worker. Breakfast is good. They ask you if you want them to make scrambled egg.

Had a lovely stay here for two nights. Staff were extremely helpful, rooms were clean and had great views.
Really close to the Interlaken West station so it was easy to find after our train journey from Zurich. Would happily recommend to anyone

The Lotschberg, a small family run hotel, a short walk from the train station and Migros super market, was an excellent place to position ourselves for the trip to the Jungfrau. We were there in mid March, off season and with a war brewing. So the hotel was nearly empty. The price was right. The room cheery & lots of hot water and ice available. I would reccommend it for people not wanting to spend more than 100 Euros on a very decent place to sleep.Richard E. Hayes

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Lotschberg in late September for 3 nights. What a fabulous inn! We were in room 41, which is in the attic. The room was extremely clean. The bathroom was immaculate. The view from the room was breathtaking. This room is especially nice for light sleepers. We felt removed from the rest of the house and were both able to get some of the best sleep in a long time. A note of caution, those that have trouble with stairs should stay on a lower floor. The lift only goes up to the third floor. Otherwise, this was an ideal room.
The room rate (we paid 155 CHf) includes breakfast. Breakfast included croissants, fresh bread, jam, cheese, meats, tea, and coffee. The living room is on the first floor, where you can access the Internet (for a fee) and have a cup of tea or coffee. The hotel also had a coin-operated washer and dryer, which is convenient for backpackers.
Interlaken is a nice town but for those that want to see more of the Alps, we recommend a visit to Gimmelwald (not to be confused with Grindelwald). To get to Gimmelwald, you must take the train to Lauterbrunnen. From Lauterbrunnen, you hop on a bus to the cable car. The Gimmelwald Pension is a good place for lunch if you decide not to pack a picnic. The fondue is extremely delicious!

This hotel was fantastic and very reasonably priced (with free parking as well). We had a large immaculate room with a balcony which overlooked the mountains. The breakfast was excellent, and included various cheeses, cereals, fresh breads, etc. (I think the milk, cheese and butter comes from the family cow, "Heidi"). The staff was extremely helpful in planning several adventurous day trips, including hiking (the Niederhorn Hike was our favorite), and mountain biking (you can rent bikes from the hotel for a nominal fee). Paragliding with Fritz (one of the hotel's owners) was unbelievable, and you'll save money flying with him (and longer) than with a company. The staff also recommended good places for dinner. There is no other hotel in Interlaken that we would consider after staying here.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights towards the end Sept.-begin Oct.
1. Facility to use the kitchen (at CHF 5) which is next best only to apartment with kitchenette. Besides the kitchen, there is a common free of charge microwave & coffee facilities for everyone to use.
2. Hospitality - Kind of mixed. At times, I felt them really hospitable when they allowed us to use the kitchen cutlery while we used the kitchen. And at other times I found them too curt.
3. Breakfast - The breakfast on the first day was a disappointment. The breakfast timings are 8-9:30 am. When I reached at 9 am, the breakfast table only had leftovers which no one had replenished (a small piece of cheese, couple slices of salami..) There were no other guests in the breakfast room, so I guess they didn't care to replenish.
The second day was better as there were many guests in the room.
4. Commission Factor - When I tried to settle the bill at checkout, I was asked if I want to pay in Euros (instead of Francs) and told that that way I would save commission that my credit card company would charge for paying in different currency. I agreed, and my bill was converted in Euros by applying at average conversion rate of 1.53.
Later I discoverd, that my bank ABN AMRO, Netherlands did not seem to charge any commission and infact might have given me a better prevailing conversion rate of 1.57.
So without blaming anyone, if you know what (or what not) commission your credit card/bank charges and also know what is the current fx conversion rate, then you can make a better economic decision as to pay in Euros (offered to you) or CHF.
5. We stayed in two attic rooms which were rather small compared to the standard room but still charged the same rate. It will be good if the hotel could do differential pricing and offer the attic rooms at a discount to standard so that everyone pays for what he gets.

Good morning. There is some parking at the hotel, for regular cars and vans (maybe 8-10 people). No space for bigger vans or small busses. Also parking cannot be reserved in advance. Parking along the street as well - free of charge during the night.
Our room had neither, but I believe some of them do - best to confirm with the hotel.
