- Steven S4 contributionsGlad we went, area is incredible. Wish there could have been some transportion from train station to bus pick up. Weather was not good and it made it unpleasant to walk the long distance to the bus. Would have been good to have had a bus to wait in while we waited for our bus, raining constantly. Semi easy to navigate however again,

The second stop was longer but could have easily spent much longer there. Good inspiration to come back for a longer time. Guide was very knowledgeable and fun in character. - Shafia MCape Town, South Africa85 contributionsI did this tour solo. It was very organized and the actual place, Jungfraujoch, is very well planned so any tourist there will get to see everything. It's designed so that you go through what they call "the discovery" of the glacier. The ice palace or tunnel is wonderful (albeit a little slippery) with ice sculptures and ice walls. It has railings to hold on to as well. The glacier itself is something to be beholden. The brown sandy bits apparently come from the Sahara desert. The guides were really good at managing the group. The cable car and the cogwheel trains provide panoramic splendour like nowhere else. - Kausar786Seattle, WA154 contributionsAt the top of Europe, it is about 4K meters. Take the train from Luzern to Interlaken Ost. At Interlaken Exchange your Jungfrau exchange voucher at the Jungfrau counter at “Interlaken OST
Station” for tickets that you can use to go up the mountain. Please carry a printed copy for faster exchange.
Can get off the train at the Intermediate stops since that helps you to acclimatise. Chewing on some lemon or sour sweets along the way also helps.

• 100% Snow guaranteed all year round!
• Enjoy Ice Palace, Ski & Snowboard Park, the Sphinx observation terrace

The guide use for mostly to make sure we got on the right trains, else no use of a guide. While the trip was great, it was a little rushed; not much time to eat at the beautiful restaurant that is on the 2nd floor; did not get much time to explore and take pictures at places like Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen. The entire trip is really to be at Jungfrau. George was a great guide and shared with us tidbits about Swiss culture, government, farming, history, and even geology. Buy tickets for zip line etc and early. It gets sold out. Spectacular sites of the alps!
