This Mercure is a decent business hotel. Clean. Comfortable bed (if you happen to be jet lagged). Breakfast is a full buffet - no complaints.
Front desk staff were welcoming and helpful.
Location is good. You are within walking distance of most of what you’d want to do in Nice.

Mercure Nice Centre Notre Dame hotel is middle of the centrum of Nice.
The room we have got was quiet, comfortable bed. We actually stayed one week there.
We liked most the location of the hotel, the pool in the rooftop where we got nice drinks and some lovely time with the sun.
The guys in the Sky bar was kind, especially Ergin, who is working in the front office on the reception was helpfull, he helped us all the when we need it, with a big smile. A huge thank you! :)

As a Gold card holder, we appreciated being able to check in early.
For the first time in three years (since I became Gold), I was given an upgrade. When we got to the room we saw it was an accessible room. This meant there was no shower curtain and of course water went everywhere when we showered.
Staff were generally friendly.
During our last night I received an emailed copy of the bill. We were charged each day for breakfast for two.
Since we never ate breakfast in the hotel I asked them to remove the charges.
I asked how that could happen. I was told they automatically add the breakfast charge to the bill.
The same thing happened on our following stay a few days later.

We have just returned from Nice. The hotel is in a great location about 15-20min taxi ride from the airport. Easy to get around, with only about a 15 min walk to to Sea/Restaurants and shops are on your doorstep. There is also a tram if you don’t want to walk.
The hotel was good, clean and the staff were fantastic, they were all so friendly. Breakfast was good and the rooftop bar is nice in the evenings for pre-dinner drinks and to watch the sun go down.
I would like to say how impressed we were with one particular staff member, Ersin Akar. He was there when we checked in. He arranged a lovely room for us as there was a discrepancy with our booking. It had great city views. Every time Ersin saw us he would check we were ok and nothing was too much trouble. It was my birthday during our stay and as a surprise he had arranged for our room to be specially decorated with swans, hearts and balloons. Thank you Ersin, we really appreciate your thoughtfulness and kindness, I’m sure we will return. We have been fortunate enough to visit a few cities in Europe and we are great believer’s in the little things. Ersin got it so right, we wish there were more Ersin’s in this world! He is a real asset to the hotel and an absolute gentleman. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Perfectly located for time spent in the cote d'azur. An easy tram ride from the airport and turn right out of the hotel, right again and the railway station is a 5 min walk for places of interest in the area. Warning-there are usually queues for the train ticket machines which are not initially easy to navigate. Also pick pockets are at the station and on the platforms so take care.
The rooms are air conditioned, clean and comfortable and what a treat to have fresh bedding and towels (albeit rather thin) every day. The mini fridge is very useful. The roof top bar is great for the views. There is a selection of snacks and drinks. The pool is an adequate size but too cold for us in the evening. Pool towels are available.
Breakfast is freshly prepared and buffet style with a large selection.
Staff are helpful and obliging.
Be aware that when you offer a credit card at the start of your stay, 50 euros a day are registered for spending at the hotel. This wasn't explained to us. Obviously refunds are given if this amount isn't used.
We would recommend this hotel.
