The Hotel West End boasts a prime location that guests often commend for its proximity to the beach and local attractions. While some travelers are impressed with the spacious rooms and stunning views, others have expressed concerns over cleanliness and outdated decor. The hotel's atmosphere is a blend of modern and dated elements, with memorable views but mixed reviews on events. Service quality varies, with reports of both warm interactions and disappointments in responsiveness. Despite its cleanliness, many guests feel the hotel's value is diminished by overpriced services and a lack of amenities such as a pool or gym.

Nice to receive a genuine welcome to the hotel, and an upgrade. Our large room away from the Promenade des Anglais side of the hotel was well received-no traffic or pedestrian noise.
All mod cons in hotel. Restoration of this magnificant hotel underway whilst there, without inconvenience.
Great breakfast to start the day, good choice to pick from and plenty of food on offer.
Desk staff always helpful and pleasant, and couldn't do enough for us.
Close to all the action. Will stay there again should we overnight in Nice.

Set right on the Promenade des Anglais this art-deco hotel offers a piece of luxury at an affordable price. We stayed here the night before a flight so we wouldn't be rushed the next morning and it was well worth it. It's about 20 minutes by tram from the airport and a further 10 minute walk from the tram stop. Our room was fairly small but tastefully renovated to a high standard. Good lighting and a very comfortable bed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. The restaurant is a little pricey but the food and service make up for this. All-in-all a great experience. We'll definitely stay here again.

Taking advantage of the good weather in the south of France, we decided to take a week's break and enjoy the Côte d'Azur. The Hotel West End is ideally situated right on the Promenade des Anglais, and is only 15mins by taxi from the Airport. There are also good public transport links with bus stops just in front of the hotel, and also one of the stops on the tram line 2 is only a few minutes walk away. For those travelling by car, the hotel has arrangements with one of the parking garages just next door to the hotel where secure undercover parking is available.

On entering the hotel, you know you are in for a great experience, with the wonderful entrance and ground floor longes of the hotel. The room keeps up the good experience, we were located on the top floor which uses a more modern styling, but still within the general atmosphere of the hotel. The view from the room over the bay are stunning, both during the day and at nightfall.

As with all hotels around the world, the Hotel West End has had to adapt to our friend Covid-19, and this has been done in a very professional and effective way, and without impacting too much on the guest experience. The breakfast team look after the guests with the traditional buffet being replcaed with personal service, and this works well. The large opening hours of the breakfast service allow for plenty of room for all. The cleanliness of the room, and the hotel in general, is to the high standard you would expect from a hotel of this catagory, and at all times we felt in a very safe environment. The staff are always available for questions and help, and we felt very welcome indeed.

The hotel "ticks all the boxes" and we can certainly recommend this hotel for your future stay in Nice.

West End unfortunately confirms the lack of real luxury hotels in Nice. Together with the other “old glories” of the Promenade, this hotel would need a serious revamping and a tasteful restoration to bring it back to its luxurious past. Some details here an there still recall the “Belle Époque” of the hotel and they should be brought back to their original beauty. Poor services - no bar, no restaurant, no room service, late room cleaning, the minibar in the room did not work, no reserved places on the beach - and a small room made the staying at this hotel closer to a “no frills” than to a luxury experience. The view at the fourth floor was amazing, so be sure to book an expensive sea view room to enjoy the only great thing West End has to offer. Not bad at all, but not worth the price.

Dear Moussafir You had the privilege to experience an experience through the art of living of a different time when elegance in style and manners were far different from our times. The services of our hotel had been widely impacted by the pandemic of Covid 19 . Our restaurant hes been closed and not reopened to the public. A bar service was instead proposed with a choice of platters which may goes along a drink. The beach club is not ours and if beach packages can be bought at reception, the reservation are not mandatory and our hotel guest are considered prioritly at the beach club entrance. You should maybe reconsider your expectations toward luxury and the price paid and then adjust it to our hotel which has managed to stay open to welcome you with majors adjustments to adapt to the sanitary conditions and the regulations. So considering this and understanding this , you would probably be more indulgent and objective. Regards

Hotel is definitely in a great location in Nice, right next to the famous Le Negresco hotel. Nice itself is great for sun, sea and eating.

All of the staff that we spoke to, we're helpful and friendly. Upon arrival, we received a complementary basket of fruit and a bottle of wine and macaron which were appreciated however a bottle of water is really all that we wanted and needed, due to the warm climate, in order to cool us down.

Be aware that the room does not have wall sockets next to the bed. This was very annoying as I wanted to charge my phone and use it at the same time.

A room within the hotel cost us USD $500 per night, as your paying for the location, not the hotel amenities and certainly not the brand. This hotel has certainly seen better days but also has character and is relaxed as a result of it's charm. Also it has only 2 lifts, so you have to wait.

Breakfast was international and it was great to sit outside in the morning before the sun was as it's peak.

Internet speed was 9Mbps down and 2 Mbps up. Too slow for YouTube.

After spending a day exploring Nice, we returned to our hotel at 3pm only to find that our room had not been cleaned.

For transport, try Uber, Bolt or ask the hotel to book their taxi. It costs EUR 20 to the Nice-ville station or EUR 35 to the airport. I tried about 10 times to book an Uber but was unsuccessful, hope that your more successful with the other options which I mentioned. When buying train tickets, use SNCF.com which is faster, else you could queue for an hour, waiting.

If you want to do a day-trip, then be aware that Monaco is expensive. Also, the train was so packed on the weekend, that there were no seats and all of the corridors were full of people, it was a very uncomfortable train ride.

Final tip - for luxury shopping, goto Cannes.

We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary, booked via the hotel website after trying to call, sent two emails neither of which were answered.
The room was in the fifth floor, just over the air conditioning machines so very noisy, and very small. The only breakfast available was a continental breakfast and as I don’t eat wheat I couldn’t eat anything.
The waiter Ange was very nice and friendly and explained to us that the hotel couldn’t provide its usual service due to the COVID situation.
Apart from him, really we weren’t pleased and felt like the special offer available basically meant a small and cheap room with no 4* commodities, including cleaning the room daily.
We won’t be going back.
Not the best way to encourage visitors to return!!!

Dear AMPM123, The Covid pandemic situation and the safety restrictions could not allow us to offer the best of the service we usually provide. As we were not allowed to serve a full buffet, we choose to offer a continental for free to all our guests. We were very honoured to welcome you for our re opening after the total lockdown and as you may imagine, safety for all our guests and staff was and still is our main concern. The restrictions in term of service was in accordance with the regulations. Therefore you should visit us back when future times will be better and surely you will be amazed. We remain at your service. Regards

We stayed for 4 days in this hotel. The rooms that they call ‘classic’ is very old and not advisable. The staff is not friendly and always with a dull face! The breakfast room is very small and for this reason they urge you to finish and leave by taking your unfinished plates and cups. Breakfast is terrible! Nothing fresh, everyday the same menu-reheated croissants, artificial omlet, no fresh vegetables!Tomato and cucumber are impossible to find😬not included as they are expensive. We are very dissatisfied with the price we paid and the service we received. The location is good, but the hotel is much more expensive than the actual price and does not fit into ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Booked here for one night at the end of holiday before heading home, horrible small room looked nothing like images on website - completely different. Hotel run down and needs revamping the lift was like something out of a horror movie. Couldn’t move in the room and for the price was crazy! They promised my partner he wouldn’t be charged twice and he has just been charged an additional amount (more then price of room). The cleaner bashed the door open the morning we were leaving at 10.30 screaming in French and she took the door frame off the door - Horrendous experience - do not book!

Just returned from our first proper holiday in 3 years. The location of the Hotel West End is wonderful and overlooks the beach on promenade des Anglais. The hotel is a short walk from the train station and also the old town (each approx 15 minutes). We booked a sea view room with balcony which is a must and the AC was really good. Opposite the hotel is the Blue Beach Club and you can purchase tickets for sunbeds, parasols from the hotel for $26 euros each.

We found all the hotel staff to be really helpful and friendly, but the restaurant staff were amazing, particularly David. Always happy to chat and help and the service and food in the restaurant was excellent. The breakfast room offered a continental buffet with a good choice of fruit, cereals, cheese and mear, scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh honey and much much more.

During out stay we visited Monaco and Cannes via train, which was relatively cheap and efficient. We also did the Nice Grand tour hop on hop off bus which was really nice and went to Villefranche-sur-Mer (a delightful village on the outskirts on Nice). It was $23 euros for 1 day and $26 for 2, so we had the 2 day ticket.

Nice is a fabulous place to visit and you will NOT be disappointed with the Hotel West End.

Romantic weekend in Nice with my wife at this grand looking hotel situated on the Promenade des Anglais overlooking the beach.
We paid for a superior room and we’re generously allocated an upgrade to a superb 5th floor room overlooking Vieux Nice, the beach and Bay
Front desk staff very friendly and efficient - helped with instructions for getting the car parked, taking bags to the room and general information about finding our way around Nice. Particular thanks to Leon @ Baggagerie who was patient, courteous, professional and very smiling …. Lovely guy
Breakfast is good, served in a nice sea facing ground floor restaurant.
Thanks to all at the West End for a superb weekend

Dear traveler, I do not know how much cost a taxi to get to this hotel. I suggest you to change your reservation, because we had a very bad experience at the West End Promenade. The rooms are very bad, under a standard of a 4 stars Hotel,at the reception we had no support, our room was not cleaned during our stay, the bathroom is smaller than the one you find in an aircraft or a train. If you will go there I wish you good luck!!
