GOOD
- quick, easy check in and check out
- lots of chairs by the pool and shaded areas
- excellent food
- top-notch entertainment (esp. evenings)
- big resort, but easy to get around
- nice lobby for visiting
- easy to get drinks, lots of bars
- feels very safe
- 24-hour cafe/bar
- very beautiful building and landscaping; lush greenery
- massages on beach
- excellent restaurants; no reservations needed
- excellent staff. Very friendly and helpful service.
- they treat children really well
- ice cream and cones readily available
- burger and fries near poolside
- beautiful beach for walking; big waves for swimming and boogie boarding
- safe for walking off-resort
- drinks are good
- overall, a really good vibe
- family-friendly atmosphere, with kids pool. Always pretty lively (which might be a draw back for some)
DRAWBACKS
- no pool-side wait service
- rooms and lobby are dated (Renos starting later in 2024?)
- no teen club or rec room
- must be 18 years old to access gym; gym small
- crazy expensive gift shop ($50 Canadian for sunscreen)
- too few washrooms throughout the resort
- smoking section near pool with smell of smoke throughout the day
- towel cards, which are stressful to keep track of
- expensive trip, overall. We’ve spent about the same for higher-end resorts (but, the experience was still positive)
Overall, we had a wonderful week at this resort. There were 39 people in our party ranging from 3 - 55+ years old and everyone had a good time. Even during Easter weekend it didn’t feel too crowded. Seems to have been lots of return visitors.
