At Paradise Village Beach Resort & Spa, guests have mixed feelings about their stay. While the hotel's cleanliness receives commendations for its well-kept environment, many visitors are let down by the amenities, describing them as disappointing due to restrictive policies and additional fees. Room assignments and check-in processes often face criticism for delays and a need for refreshment. Service experiences vary, with some guests encountering slow responses but others appreciating the friendly staff. Despite a tranquil atmosphere, the perceived value is marred by extra costs and limited inclusive perks.

We just returned from our third vacation at Paradise Village for 8 nights. We absolutely love this resort! The staff are super friendly and great service, the resort feels safe and our kids roam around freely on their own (since 8 and 10 years old), the beach is excellent and good pools (although smaller pools), the food is good in our opinion and several options to eat, and the daily/nightly entertainment is excellent. We are especially impressed with the Activities team who bring endless energy all day and night. We also really enjoyed Western Night this year because the server went above and beyond to make it special for my mom's 63rd birthday. They also had some new 9pm evening shows that were very well done (we enjoyed Michael Jackson and The Greatest Showman most). Room: We upgraded to a 2-bedroom superior room in the main Tikal tower, which was super handy to go to and from the room...we have been in a farther away tower and didn't like that with kids because of the distance to walk to the pool. We would definately request to stay in the main Tikal tower again with a marina view. My only real complaint with the resort is that it's not clear what room you will get (decor, location, view) when booking superior. Some decor is modern and some dated (I'm not a fan of the dated decor). I would rather pay to guarantee the type of room and location, and not wait and see what we get when show up. Food/drink: This year we did not do all inclusive and it was clearly cheaper for us to go that route....we do not eat and drink enough to make all-inclusive worthwhile and it also gave us the option for premium drinks like bottled beer which was nice. They have a great big lobby that is nice some evenings to have a casual supper, drinks and play cards. The beach and pool-side service is very good and friendly service. Overall: We have gone over the years to a few different resorts, and have now decided Paradise Village is the place we want to keep coming back to each year. It's clean, comfortable and very enjoyable. Our new home away from home! Already have 2021 planned! Thank you to all the staff especially. (PS: Tip well....the staff work hard with a smile all day long).

Spent week at resort celebrating a 50th birthday. Room was fantastic, overlooking marina and ocean. Resort was busy but everyone was friendly and helpful with all our requests. They even served us our dinner on beach even though they were closed. The spa was recently renovated, it was beautiful and the services were very economical. They offer yoga and Zumba classes during the week, and have a new workout room.
Every night they have a themed dinner night that includes drinks and entertainment for reasonable cost, about $24 US.

The rooms include maid service every day. They make your bed, mop the floor and provide clean towels. They even scheduled another time as we were late risers.

The resort takes security very seriously with entry checks on vehicle arrival and departure, only people staying at resort are allowed on the property. This made us feel very safe, day and night security guards are posted at each entryway on beach. No problem with sellers and others constantly bothering you.

The beach here is the best in Puerto Vallarta, it is wide and you can walk miles up the coast. They have several restaurants including a new Sushi Restaurant if you don’t want to do Themed nights. We ate at all of them and the food was great and very reasonable. We will definitely come again next year for our yearly trip.

Nice location on the beach, loved the palapas for shade. Rooms are small compared to other resorts we've stayed at and furnishings very outdated and worn. Bathrooms are very small, but everything is very clean and well maintained. We had a one bedroom unit which included 2 bathrooms which worked and seemed to compensate for the size. There was a glass block window in our bedroom which bordered the hall. There really needs to be a blackout curtain on that window. There was always light in the bedroom and made it hard to sleep.

The dinner buffet at Tulum was very good. I would say better than average for buffet food. The other restaurants on site had limited menu items, so we never ate there.

The entertainment was actually pretty good, really good dancers, but we were disappointed that 2 shows we wanted to see were moved to the enclosed convention center even though rain had cleared one night and the other seemed like a beautiful evening with almost no chance of rain and was still moved.

The grounds are beautifully landscaped and well kept, it's a nice, quiet location. There is a small mall within walking distance with 2 very good dinner restaurants, an excellent breakfast restaurant, Gelato, fast-food, Starbucks, etc. We ate here often.

If you are looking for a quiet location away from the city, this is it. If you prefer to be in the middle of everything, do not stay here. It 20-30 minutes into Puerto Vallarta. Taxis and water taxis are available and it's not too expensive to get to the city for a day or 2 which is what we did.

Service was very good all around. I wish signage was better throughout to help you find the different restaurants, towels, convention center, spa, etc. They labeled one pool as the relaxing pool, but still allowed children so not really the best. There are no swim up or poolside bars, but they do come around to serve you food and drink.

Overall it was a very nice week!

My wife and I have been members of this resort for many years and returned over the new years holiday. The staff was friendly and our room was wonderful. The resort offers an all inclusive package which covers food and drink during your stay. However, we were not informed of this upon our arrival and didn't find out about this until my wife was informed about this from another guest. When she went to member services to inquire, she was told that we could get this package at the member rate of $65 per day. She checked with me and we agreed to purchase the plan. When we returned to the front desk, despite the fact that my wife had been given the price in writing, we were told that the cost would be $82 per day, which is the same price non members pay and more than the price paid by patrons who booked through Interval International. We were able to meet with the Rooms Division Manager, Mr. Huertas, who assured us that upon checkout our bill would reflect the member discount. However, when we went to check out, our bill had not changed. We were told by Mr. Huertas that his superiors in the main office refused to honor our member discount. This was not as issue of money, but one of principal. They refused to stand by what we were told and given in writing. At this point, we left with a negative experience. My advice to anyone visiting Paradise is to make sure you get clear information on their all inclusive packages when checking in to the resort.

So yes everyone of the staff was very nice and its a older but very clean building. My question is why do you not tell the tourisst walking around without masks to put one on or go home? Its law and your breaking it by not inforcing it. Not one time did I see anyone asked to put one on. We changed our masks constantly, used our saniwipes, washed our hands and stayed away from others. I dont know if it was on the property we picked up covid but it certainly made me think it was a good possibility from what I observed especially people using the pool bathrooms. My other peeve was my husband was asked to put on a shirt with sleeves opposed to his sleeveless (not tank top) in the dining area which would have been fine except all the women in their little tops and bathing suits covers kinda confuses the whole idea of why. The food was medicocre but you won't starve but its just reused the next day in a new dish so usually dry and always cold meals on the buffet. BF best meal of the day, lots of fruit and vegs every meal. Main course is not good.Staff tries hard so tip well. Ask for anything you dont see, we ordered strawberries and bluberries for the kids plus bananas and peanut butter. There is a latte/cappucinno machine there and they taste pretty good but they don't offer them I just happened to see the machine the last couple days. They will bring plates of bacon and toast and I found it odd you had to ask for the butter and jam which comes frozen for cold toast. I would go back but not do the all-Inc.

Me and my boyfriend went in Feb with my brother and his girlfriend. We were a little nervous about COVID safety but this resort was on top of their stuff. I felt safer there than most places in the US! They sprayed our luggage with sanitizer when we got there, we used hand sanitizer on our way in, walked through sanitizer mats on our way to the front desk, and they were great at enforcing distancing. All of the food and drinks that we enjoyed with the all-imclusive plan were delicious! Great food all around, especially at the Tulum restaurant. We had 2 servers in particular that made our week: Jose was our server at the beach every day and Sebastián Peña was our server at Tulum. I manage a restaurant for a living and I can only aspire to train my employees to take care of our guests the way they took care of us. They knew our names after the first day, offered wonderful suggestions on things to do throughout the week, learned our preferences on food/drinks, and always delivered everything that we wanted before we even had to ask! That is service. Being able to anticipate needs and be one step ahead on all of the details. It helped us truly relax, as we didn't have to think about or ask for anything. Thank you to Sebastián, José and the whole staff at the resort for giving us a great vacation! We will be back!

We have been members of Paradise Village since 2005, shortly after my wife and I married. Our most recent visit to Paradise Village made it clear that it was time for our membership to end.

This resort clearly caters to the all inclusive Mexican clientele and could care less about the members. Just last night at the Western night dinner, we expected to have songs from the US and Mexico but it ended up being solely a Mexican salsa night. No US music at all. No Florida Georgia Line etc…. Well that’s not true. The activities staff did play cotton eye joe for their intro onto the stage 5 times. But they couldn’t even see fit to play it for the tourist members who might be in the audience later during the dance portion part of the evening!

The waiters are not very good in English with rare exceptions like Javier. But he can’t do it alone and having to repeat orders over again and then having a manager come over to explain my daughter wanted a ginger ale and not a “ninja drink” is incredibly frustrating.

But it doesn’t stop there. No genuine interaction between the staff and members, but you can see the staff light up as they talk to their fellow countrymen. Only exception is our “representative” Maria who is simply amazing. But again she can’t make all the other things better. Maria did recommend AMA restaurant which was amazing! (Review later on them) They should pick up AMA from the mall and put it on the resort. It beats any of the restaurants on property and their service and staff was incredibly professional, polished and friendly.

Then let’s talk accommodations. Our room looks like it was from 1980. The furniture is cheap and old. Clean albeit, but really old. Not worth the money they charge by any means. I travel across the globe and my stays at all the hotels I’ve been in have been better.

When we first bought with Paradise Village, it was amazing. But the resort has lost its luster and lost us as members.

For those visiting be sure you know which building you are staying in (some are being renovated) and also ask what the mix of members to all inclusive guests is going to be for the time you’ll be there. If its high, count on being pushed aside…whether you’re a member or not.

Paradise Village is an ideal resort for families. I was recently there with my whole family, 6 adults and 7 grandchildren. We could not have chosen a better place. The resort is impeccably clean, the staff are friendly and accommodating, the food is excellent and the drinks are plentiful. We had the all inclusive package and it was well worth it especially travelling with children, ages 3 to 9. The rooms are very large and the grounds are impressive. Our grandchildren had a wonderful time playing on the beach as well as playing and swimming in the great pool. We were there for 10 days and it was tough leaving. I would highly recommend this place especially for families. We will definitely return. The only downside I can think of is that they keep two Bengal tigers in a rather small enclosure. These majestic animals should not be kept in an enclosure where they can only pace back and forth all day.

First, when I pay full price for a vacation at an all inclusive resort, I don't want to be pressured from the MOMENT we got off of the plane to go to a timeshare speech. I am hoping that all of the issues were Covid related, and I will say that they take that Sh*t SERIOUSLY. you will wear a mask everywhere and hand sanitizer is practically thrown at you. I felt very safe there, but it is HOT. We purchased the all inclusive package, my family was so sick of buffet by the second day, and I did NOT come on vacation to cook and do dishes. There was construction going on during our stay, and we were not made aware of that prior. It was very disappointing to not be able to take a quiet nap. It's a lovely facility and the beach is gorgeous. We took 3 excursions through Vallarta Adventures, and that was the best time on vacation. I didn't use the spa, because I had no idea how to book it. Concierge was zero help when I asked questions. In short, if I didn't go with family who are members, I wouldn't be PAYING to go back.

We had a superior king, 1 bedroom. The room was quite nice and the housekeeper did a great job. No hair conditioner, no dish soap. The TVs were low def. Poor resolution, pixelation and bad sound- especially in the bedroom. We faced the amphitheater and had to endure awful karaoke a couple times, but it ended at 10. The pool had a DJ when we went- so loud we couldn't stand it. You can't hear the ocean, because there's always noise. The beach has vendors who bug you constantly. If that's what you're looking for, you'll love it! There were red flags on the beach when the ocean appeared calm. You can't use a boogie board unless the flags are yellow. At least the boogie boards are free for an hour. Unless you're a member, nothing else is included. Gym? Extra. Bike rental? $5/hour for crappy single speed beach cruisers! Go to a local bike rental shop and they're $11/day. They pick you up! There's a nice lap pool, but, someone nearby was always smoking! Just what I want while lap swimming- cigar smoke! I didn't see anyone around the pool smoking, so it's something nearby. They have 2 beautiful tigers in the most awful concrete enclosure. Broke my heart. We were on the boat most of the time, so I can't comment much on the restaurants. We ordered crunchy tacos at the beach bar and got taquitos. OK, but not tacos! Avoid frozen yogurt or gelato at local mall. Both bad. Taxi from airport is 200 pesos or $10.

Sorry for the late reply. There are 3 ala-carte restaurants. Depending on the your length of your stay you will receive letters for entry. We stayed for 7 days so we got 2 letters. if you look at their website this is explained. There are several beach tables that are reserved. We never has any problem finding an open one. Other than that the rest of the resort is open to all visitors.

Good Afternoon, It used to be a time when you didn't have to pay, however, they do not enforce payment if it's not busy. You can bring a tote and bring your drinks and food. You do not have to pay for all-inclusive packages. I hope this helps. You Welcome
