Had lunch here yesterday. September 12th. Great lunch.

My husband and I stopped by after visiting this historic place, including the monastery. There's quite a bit of restaurant and place to eat here. But my husband and I decided to come here. For the main course , my husband had the charcoal grilled imperial lamb with garnish ,and I had oxtail beef la font style and had great appetizers. The waiters were really nice, and we didn't feel like being rushed to finish our meals. This is a great place to eat and enjoy the meals while resting after walking through all areas. The restaurant does not open until 1 pm. We came here on a Tuesday right after their independence Day holiday

The restaurant is located in the “Pueblo Spaniol”. We ordered a Godfish with potatoes. The God was cold inside and the potatoes wilted and also cold. The beer was ok in spite of the heat in Barcelona. The price was normal.

Restaurant La Font de Prades

It was an excellent feel of local food. For starters we were given eggplant in form of french fries. The best was the jug full of Sangria wine which was so refreshing. The bus goes not go here so you have to walk through the by lanes to come to this eating joint.

Only restaurant in Barcelona not serving food in the afternoon

We arrived on a Saturday (Easter w.e), sat down and were told right away that they were no longer serving food and the kitchen was closed and it was not even 3-4pm. Yet, for the following 30 minutes we saw paella and fish being served onto 3 different tables. In such a place where you have people visiting all day you should adapt and serve food at all times.

Best Catalan food in Barcelona

Wow!!! An amazing place to eat Catalan food! Super delicious, fresh and fulfilling food😋 Could not recommend enough. The Crema Catalana was really delicious as well and seemed to be fresh. The prices were considerably moderate, taking into account that this is quite a touristic place. All in all, could not recommend enough if you want to try Catalan food!:) However, I really do recommend reserving a table in advance.

The food is axceptable, not more. Impossible eating because of a huge quantity of flies. 20 minutes to have a bottle of water with a negative reaction of the waiter when reminded. The real issue is the impoliteness of the two waiters. Visit el Poble Espanyol, amazing, but don’t eat here.

Disappointing experience

They know that there are hardly any other options in Poble Espanyol so they don't care either about the food or the service. In the photo there's one of the dishes I got. Most of the snails were crushed.

Great place at a great time

We found this nice restaurant in Poble Español just in time to avoid a thunderstorm and ended up having one of the nicest meals (lunch) so far in our trip in Barcelona. Service was friendly and courteous and efficient and the food was great and offered a variety of tapas, paellas and other main dishes that exceeded our expectations. It also had a very Nice dessert selection in a nice environment. A terrific finding.

this is a wonderful restaurant, its a pity it is only accessible when you are in Poble Espanyol. they do a wonderful menu del dia during the day. the staff were very helpful with the gluten free options. the food was absolutely wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable. The glasses of sangria are very nice too. will definitely eat here again

Not very good food

The starter with avocado, tomatoes and mozzarella was good, but the main dish (which was the only vegetarian option) was not good at all, just very greasy mushroom croutons accompanied by soggy fries.

Classic Tourist Restaurant

Been there during Puble Espaneol visit. The purpose was a drink break and some deserts. The service was slow and some of the items need to be reminded. The desert were simple, some of them I found too sweetie.

The worst veal

I ordered a "veal steak", it was horrible. Meat was not at all "medium", and frankly, it was not meat, more like fat and "cores?". Just take a look at the photo. Couldn't eat this, left almost full plate, my waited noticed this and asked another waiter to give me the bill. So after a horrible lunch I had to wait for 5-7 minutes to pay for it. 25€ for the worst meal in Barcelona.
