Built in 1914, this castle on a hill overlooking Toronto is regarded as a treasured heritage landmark. At Casa Loma, you can explore three levels of elaborately decorated rooms, including the Conservatory which has Italian marble floors and Ontario marble side panels. Permanent exhibitions and special exhibits here feature early Canadian history. The castle is also a popular place for private events, and serves as a backdrop for film and photo shoots. There's even a steakhouse located within the grounds offering the finest beef from all over the world. The tour of Casa Loma is self-guided but multimedia audio guides are available. – Tripadvisor

    Gorgeous Castle and Grounds
Beautiful castle with gorgeous gardens. We really enjoyed seeing the furniture and accessories. It was very crowded and hard for a handicap person to navigate. Please note that unless you park in the paid parking lot, you will have to climb a very steep walkway to the castle. Unfortunately, Casa Loma does not maintain that walkway and there are huge weeds hanging over the walkway and it is very hazardous.

Don’t miss the tunnels that lead to Celebrity Walk
My teenagers loved the section that shows wax figures of famous Canadians. (But where was Justin Bieber?!) We found it easier to download the audio guide, and then listen to the history at my own pace (rather than scanning it at every room). I liked how my online tickets let me enter at my convenience (& not being stuck to a particular timeframe). Casa Loma is truly a gem!

    Wedding July 22, 2023
We recently had a wedding at Castle Loma. The event was magical from the initial stages of planning to the execution! The staff were not only helpful but professional! The food from cocktails through to dinner was Michelin star rated. Our guests were extremely impressed with the complete experience. Thank you for making this event a memorable experience for all!

    Good imitation of medieval castles
This huge structure, built by and once the residence of Sir Henry Pellatt in the early 20th century, does not fall short of the grandeur and majesty of medieval castles and residences. Its 98 rooms to visit as well as its external structures, gardens, towers, etc. will leave you open-mouthed. Exploring them will transport you back in time although Casa Loma is a modern construction. Every single room is exquisitely decorated. Once you're done exploring the whole place, you can relax and have some meal in its restaurant in the gardens. Highly recommended!

    What a great day
I heard about Casa Loma and wanted for quite some time now. I was truly impressed with the visit. If you take the time to read or use the app and listen to the tour, it's such a great visit. We were there 4 hours, including a yummy late lunch at the premises. We did the entire castle and the towers, the tunnel and the stables/garage.

    Beautiful castle and terrific views
Exceeded my expectations. I loved the landscaping and the views of the city. Enjoyed climbing to both the Scottish Tower and Norman Tower. The tunnel to the stables and antique autos was interesting. The interior of the castle was beautiful as well. We stayed for about 3 hours.

    Amazing Castle
I go to the Castle every year! So many movies made there. Gardens are beautiful. I miss the self guided tours with the hand held phones! Secret passages to find. Dont forget to go to the Basement area and go through the tunnel. Such and amazing castle with lots of history. 2 towers to climb and wait till you see the swimming pool in the basement. Wow you are in for a treat here.

    Elegant and interesting
We visited Casa Loma as one of the museums on our City Pass ticket. There is a scan code for the audio guide at the ticket area. I brought headphones to listen on my phone. Make sure you go through the tunnel and up to both towers. See the movie set exhibit and olds cars at the end of the tunnel. The gardens are pretty and there is a lovely patio to sit down to have an ice cream or snack overlooking the fountain. I recommend for teens and adults interested in history. We spent 2 5 hours there.

    Highlight of our Toronto trip
We visited Casa Loma as it was included as part of the City Pass ticket - and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip to Toronto! There was plenty to see between the house, the gardens, tunnels, towers, and we spent two hours here overall - we didn't use the free audio guide and just read the signs, so were a bit quicker because of that. The views from the top of the towers were great to see the Toronto skyline. Would highly recommend visiting!

    Pretty Cool Castle
We had the CityPass so at least had slightly discounted admission. We enjoyed walking around the castle and seeing everything. The towers were awesome but get ready for your legs to hurt after climbing up the spiral staircases. What they REALLY need to do though is have some sort of system for people going up and down. There is literally one set of stairs and you need to go single file. So they need some sort of bell or light system to indicate if people are starting to go up or down so no one else starts coming the opposite way. There are a lot of stairs - going up and down between the levels.. going up to the towers, going down into the secret garden.. etc. My out of shape legs were DYING. The tunnel was pretty cool. I had wanted to do one of the escape rooms with my kids but those tickets were expensive and did not include general admission. That was a bummer to find out. So we didn't do one because it would have cost like $80 pp instead of around $40 for one or the other. Too much. But I bet it would have been a ton of fun. Definitely worth a visit. The cafe had some nice options. Small gift shop - lots of toys.

Immerse yourself in the heart of Toronto’s bohemian culture at Kensington Market. Restaurants and hole-in-the-wall eateries offering food from all over the world are interspersed with vintage thrift shops, coffee joints, tattoo parlors, bars, art galleries, and Victorian-style houses. The area is part gritty, part chaotic but it has tons of personality. The best time to visit is on Pedestrian Sundays (last Sunday of the month from May to October), when street parties and festivals are the highlights. Take public transportation to get there as parking is hard to come by. You can experience the neighborhood on a food, walking, or bike tour. – Tripadvisor
